I would. Man, there is nothing bad you can say about his opponent. Pascal is fighting in HIS hometown, he is about 20 years younger and JUST beat a Pound for Pound Champion in Chad Dawson. Can't really discount him in any way shape or form.
He needs 3 good wins against European athletes. I propose that he faces the following Euro-level professionals. If he wins these fights, he enters my top 100: 1. Vilmos Balog 30-0 2. Maxim Vlasov 19-0 3. Zsolt Erdei 31-0 The boxing public will not forgive him if these fights are not made. His legacy will be tarnished and his star power will greatly diminish.
He already is a great top 5 MW of all time and thats saying alot. Established a pretty good resume moving from 160 to 185. Beating Pascal and becoming the oldest man to win a major belt will add juice to his legacy
I dont blame Hopkins for not facing these Euro-level warriors. Most posters on here seem satisfied seeing him face American, domestic-level opponents like Tarver and Taylor.
