Hopkins is really good but he has the same chance of beating Calzaghe as Hatton had of beating PBF.

Calzaghe is a freak. Everytime I see him in the prefight, I think to myself he can't be that good since he seems like such a standard issue guy. After each fight, I am reminded how good he really is. He pretty much ruined Lacy, destroyed Mitchel in less than 60 seconds after he got pissed, beat a prime Kessler (Huge win) and has beat a string of other good to great fighters. Hopkins has almost no chance.

If he were to beat Calzaghe, he becomes a top 15 fighter of all time.

OK. Let Joe's hands do the talking come fight time. Floyd Mayweather is also obviously wrong about Joe being one of the finest. OK.

If Calzaghe dares to try to throw 2000 punches against BHOP, he will be drawn and quartered.:yep

Sure. They said Lacy was gonna be a nightmare too. No, I am not comparing Hopkins to Lacy, but these threats are just laughable.

But whatever dudes, as I said before -- let Joe's hands do the talking on fight night and we'll see what's up. I just find it funny when the P4P king says how good Joe is, then a load of keyboard warriors on here doubt it.

IF, and I'd lean towards Joe, he were to beat him, damn, he'd be an absolute legend (even more so than now, obviously. A legend legend). I think mid to lower half of the last ten of the Top 20 (10-15), which says a lot.

Without actually beating him in the ring (Roy), what does it take for Bernard to go above him P4P on an all-time list? Cause as of right now, Roy is ahead, at least for me. And even after a win over Calzaghe, I'd still be inclined to have Roy ahead. But I dunno... I just wish they had a rematch in 2002 like they shoulda. As Lampley said, how these guys couldn't agree on how to split $20million, is pretty ridiculous.

In the end, it probably reflects worse on the loser of the fight. I.e. Hopkins.

no one has said joe is'nt good. on the other hand you make it sound like hopkins is ****. my prediction has always been on a calzaghe win, but i know hopkins will make it a fight.

Man I'm SOO over these kinds of statements. And what? What exactly does that prove, that people said Lacy was gonna be a nightmare? People also said Mike Tyson was gonna stop Lewis in the first or second round (yes, you'd be surprised, it was about 60-40 Lewis that fight on the net) - so does that take away from the fact that Lewis beat a completely shot to **** Tyson, or does Lewis get credit for beating the prime beast of Tyson in 86-89?

The more Lacy turns out to be nothing special (although I'm willing to give him a chance after 12 months off, despite the AWFUL performance against Manfredo), the more that win looks like nothing special... Lacy was only slightly significantly better than Manfredo, if you go by his last fight. And Calzaghe gets absolutely torn to pieces for the Manfredo fight.

    Makes you think.
