Yeah, Teddy is really good. I think we should start a petition to have the biased commentators replaced. It is an insult to any boxing fan for them to be told that Broner was winning the fight and for them to expect to believe it. Showtime ought to be embarrassed. And changes need to be made for them to have credibility.

I totally agree with the TS but good luck finding unbiased commentators. It is next impossible considering how the fight game works.

Merchant was about as good as it got when it came to a level playing field, colour commentary wise.

Atlas in nobody's solution. He is an attention whoring, grandstander with his own agenda.

He's so unbiased, maybe next year he'll score a fight 120-120.

Do people still watch boxing fights with the commentary unmuted?

Actually, Amir Khan was incredibly unbiased in the Packy Marquez III fight. He was a team mate of Manny at the time, but basically called it spot on, and conceded Manny had lost before the scores were announced

The American commentators are utterly unlistenable. They dont even try to hide the corruption

Actually I do like that Brit commentary team. I think they are Jim Watt and Alan something, Smith I think. They are a cut above what we have here.

If you ever want a sign of biased/corrupt commentary just look to the unofficial scorecards. Anytime it is close or the Showtime/HBO fighter is losing you won't see score until like halfway through the fight, and that is the only time. It happened 3 times tonight. The only time we saw the Maidana/Broner score was after 6 rounds and it was like a 1 to 2 point margin on everyone's card, including the knockdown. Embarassing

We used to have Tim Ryan and Gil Clancy. Those guys reported and gave expert commentary without presuming that the house fighter would win and emphasizing what the house fighter was doing. The three stooges calling the fight tonight were properly called out tonight after the fight in the final panel for their poor scoring. One example of how bad it was called was Bernstein identifying a phantom uppercut of Broner's that didn't even land, but that Bernstein thoughy staggered Maidana. Maybe the wind from the glove passing near his head stunned him.

it was all progressing nicely for another sickening boxing robbery: the dirty ref allowing broner to get away with everything whilst penalizing maidana, coupled with the amazingly biased commentators brushing over what was happening on screen and talking up broner at every opportunity (then acting surprised when stats showed that maidana outlanded broner by like 140-80 by round 7!:!:)

luckily, the judges were the third crucial party who didn't get the memo and chose to score it properly.

    makes a change!

Jones always gets cringeworthy once he starts talking about the softness of other fighters' chins.

It sounds like the showtime team were sickeningly biased but while the golden boy commentary team for the international broadcast saw the right fight they apparently didnt see the right fighter.

They kept referring to maidana's past experiences with judges in america and they were clearly confusing him with lucas matthysse. At one point they said he was robbed against Devon Alexander. Im pretty confident nobody could have thought maidana was robbed against Alexander. Then they claimed he knocked DeMarcus Corley down 9 times which again was Matthysse.
