We can argue who is and who isnt the real top dog. but Tarver did beat RJJ and when Hopkins defeated Tarver he did wins the Rings light heavy title.

My view is, people can't have it both ways. Some people still have Hopkins rated higher or just as high as Joe on their P4P lists, but yet will say if Joe wins, it means nothing. Which one is it?

 

They better get a good referee for this fight. If he allows Hopkins to pull the same **** in this fight as he did with Winky, we're gonna be in for a snoozer... just painful to watch. How many times you gonna let a fighter hold and warn them, without deducting a point?!? I swear he warned Hopkins like 20 times throughout the fight, but never once had the balls to take a point..

 

like wise, in the unlikely event of a hopkins win, i'd like to see a thread from joe c. fans giving the oldman his due praise. his name has been dragged through the mud, and his accomplishments pissed on for months in the forum by people like tffp, yesihavearm, rosseboi etc...

 

Just shows how meaningless the Ring belt is. Tarver, Jones, Hopkins and Johnson could do their little round-robin cluster**** till they are 60 and they would still be LHW champ according to the Ring. Some worthless magazine belt doesn't define a champion but common sense does and common sense should tell anyone that Hopkins is far from being the LHW champ.

 

Ok so if a fighter over the years goes from fighting to lunging forward with his head and just looks sloppy..The sad reality is Bslop would get crushed by Johnson(not green anymore), Diaconu, Dawson, **** Danny Green would probably hand him a beatdownatsch

 

Likewise the referee should not let Calzaghe punch with an open glove ie "slap"

 

Why do people hate Bernard so much? if you think that Bernard is going to get schooled you are wrong? Bernard is the one who will give JC problems. This fight is more evenly than what JC fans give him credit for.

 

I think it's not an honest to goodness hate on Bhops. It's more on the Calzaghe's nutgugger's insecurities and desperation to HYPE their fighter.


Bhops may lose this on points . . . but nobody "schools" the guy . . . in all probability it's Calzaghe who's gonna get his schooling. :yep

I like JC as a fighter but even if he does win, its not gonna be bcuz
he beat Hopkins up or knocked him out. Hops will be the smartest
fighter he's ever faced and if Jc gets past him he'll probably be a lil
humbled having all that trouble with a 43 year old.

 

Enough said..Nobody has and nobody will ever school B-Hop... If Roy Jones in his prime could not do it, what make you fools think Calazghe at the age of 36 will?
