Bowe's best wins apart from Holyfield, and not including the Golota fights, were probably Herbie Hide and Donald. Bowe had maybe another 3-5 fights around the level of Martin, Brazaele, Molina and Whyte. Really, if AJ beats Pulev and Wilder in his next two fights, I think his resume at least equals Riddick Bowe's at that point. Or, if he blows out Wlad next (and I hope Wlad retires), that alone may do it imo. What do you think he would need to do to equal Bowe?
Joshua show he could overcome serious adversity in beating Wlad. He passed his first major test. To overcome Bowe he will have to unify the title's and keeping on defending. He is box office gold now i just hope everybody doesn't overprice themselves with greed in trying to fight Joshua.
Wlad is better than Bowe and Bowes best win came to 205 Holyfield. He got beat up by Golota twice...why would he NEED to anything else to surpass a guy who threw a belt in the trash to avoid an actual threat challenge ,when Joshua just beat one of the best fighters ever in 19 fights and has 19 k.os...Bowes lucky to get by Tubbs bc he owned him in sparring all the time and was past his prime vs the the then young Bowe .To compare these guys accomplishments is not realistic!
Bowe beat Thomas and Dokes in addition to Holyfield. Cooper wasn't bad either, never one of the best but always an entertaining and tough out, like Chisora. The Klit win is on a par with Bowe's Holyfield wins. Beating Parker and Wilder would maybe put him on the same kind of level resume-wise. Fury could either be his Lewis or his Golota depending on if it ever happens and what version shows up.
Another top win and I would rank them equally, lol, well maybe two more. Regardless, head to head I will take AJ right now against prime Bowe. In a battle mind you.
