    vs Pascal
    vs Abraham
    vs Bute

Now that is some list to win 3 world titles against especially when in 2 of them Froch was the underdog (Abraham , Bute). I think even aainst Pascal both were around even money.

Froch is a credit to the sport but especially here in the UK where finally he is getting the widespread recognition.

To also think that Froch could potentially fight Kessler again then if he wins Bute in Canada just shows that Froch is the type of fighter that IF many were like him....the sport would be in a better place.

I personally think he will win a close decision vs Kessler and will again KO Bute in Canada although later in the fight. After that i know it would be hard to retire at the top of his game BUT Froch really even right now has nothing to prove...ONLY a fight for a title at 175 could be the swansong that this warrior bows out as a 4 time 2 weight world champion.

How do you rate Froch's 3 title winning efforts

    1. Pascal - excellent war with 2 young up and coming world class fighters teeing off for 12 rounds , the fact that Pascal has went to to win a world title makes Froch win look better.

    2. Abraham - Froch was not expected to win especially as he was AWAY in Finland for this fight , Totally dominated Abraham basically winning every round , the nature of this beating was shocking to many.

    3. Bute - i dont think i read anybody saying that Froch would destroy this undefeated champion early , but that what he did. I tought Froch would win on points as Bute was untested against the elite of 168..i did think it would be close though 116-112 or 115-113 like scores. To destroy him in 5 was i think Froch best performance of his career.

    Thoughts?

Pascal-good win made better by Pascal's achievements since.
Abraham-impressive display which showed a bit of versatility, best win of any Abraham opponent, although Abraham has been shown up somewhat as being not suited at 168.
Bute-very good win, particularly because it was so one-sided, although can't help feel Bute was a little overhyped.

Interestingly, until Bute Froch had never beaten a current or former SMW champ in a title fight. The Bute win legitimises Froch in a sense.

    Good points mate.

I think Abraham's past it now, and was always too small for super-middleweight, but maybe he gets underrated if anything. I'd bet my house that he was going to stop Dirrell, hence Dirrell's Oscar winning dying swan act. He pole-axed Taylor, I know Taylor often gets knocked down but not like that... brutal. As for the Ward fight, Abraham kept punching and trying till the end, I don't think Froch did much if any better. So I'd say Froch was fantastic that night against Abraham. Froch paid more respect to Abraham's power than he seems to have against any other fighter. Who would have thought after tasting a couple of Bute's shots Froch would decide to walk through the rest, he never did that to Abraham.

Abraham was never a 168lb fighter & has been shown up at that weight 3 times at world level, and only beat a shot Taylor with 10 seconds to go. But the Pascal & Bute wins were brilliant against fighters in their prime.

  5. Abraham hasn't been shown up at all he's been beaten by two excellent fighters. He was on his way to destroying Dirrell until that debacle of an ending.

Abraham looked **** against a journeyman post froch until he got the ko.

  7. I disagree. He got off to a slow start then he stopped him.

That's textbook Abraham. He's always fought like that.

And it was a better version of the hopkins that arguably beat Joe...

Jermaine Taylor was not proven a 168, he did nothing. went the distance witha injury hampered Jeff Lacey, somebody who a shot Roy Jones stopped.

Hopkins did not best Joe Calzage, a 160 pound Hopkin's who struggling at the weight does not beat Calzaghe. Hopkins was weak, and it showed in his pathetic work rate against Taylor in both fights.

In the rematch Taylor reduced him to 10-12 punches per round....at one stage.
