When Charlo beats GGG Andrade or Jacobs

Oscar was one year removed from arguably beating Floyd (or draw is another popular opinion) and he dragged Manny up 2 weight classes. EVERYONE was saying that Oscar would KO Manny. EVERYONE. Mosley wasn't at his best, but he had significant advantages in size, weight, reach, strength, power, and styles. Those things made the fight a much more dangerous proposal for Manny than for Mosley.

Just to use an example, Lomachenko going up to 147 to fight Manny would be a VERY DANGEROUS fight. Manny would have a size (not much, but it's there) and power advantage. Lomachenko would have a huge advantage in age, prime, speed, defense, defense, and boxing IQ. So even though Manny is not prime and is 40 years old, Lomachenko beating Manny at 147 would be an achievement of staggering proportion.

 

I like both Charlos a lot. In fact, I think they have been ducked by most of the top talent. However, I think they both lost in their last fight. Korobov clearly beat Jermall. Korobov was hurt late but there is no question he landed the better punches, the more consistent punches throughout the fight. Jermell's fight could have gone either way and really he probably should have gotten the decision because it was that close, and he was the champ. I didn't think Jermall's fight was close. Korobov was the definite winner. Jermall and Jacobs would be a great fight.

 

Stevenson is an unusual talent (or was). The guy is a beast. One punch KO power. He is never out of a fight no matter how bad he looks. And we all know power is the last thing a fighter loses.

 

Two entirely different fighters in just about every way. Stevenson is all about power (and the fact that he is a southpaw).

 

Charlo? The guy who just lost to a stand in?
