    i dont love him, i just dont think cleverly is as good as people are making out.

    tony bellew can make clev pay for his willingness to stand and trade & thats exactly what he is going to do.

    i dont give a **** about his recent performances, tony bellew will put it all together on the night. he knows its too big of an opportunity not to...

    So there is no logic to your reasoning? You just hope/pray that Bellew puts it together on the night? Yes you're right cleverly isnt it as good as Sky/people make out. But look deep deep into that Liverpudlian heart of your's on the floor against McKenzie and Bob. Contary to his beliefs looked average to poor against both, can you really see it bothering Cleverly if they do stand and trade? Cos I cant really I cant

    @Rocky Martinez
    I totally agree with you,I love the idea of everybody having their own opinion but from what I have read on this website alot of people are completely baseless and biased in what they are saying about this fight.

    I like both of them, but please don't assume that everyone who thinks that Cleverly will win is overhyping him, or buying into the Sky hype machine that he has been given.

    I acknowledge that Cleverly is a novice at world level, and has many areas where he needs to improve - not least his readiness to stand and trade, the 'red mist', which while sometimes exciting is sometimes a risk that he does not need to be taking at that point. He is a work in progress, and has picked up the title early, but I do think that he has raw materials from which he can improve.

    My opinion that he beats Bellew is simply a result of comparing them as fighters at this point, and comparing their records. Bellew went life and death with Ovil McKenzie, had to fight him twice to get a clear result, and is very much domestic level at the moment. While Cleverly is not the finished article, not ready for the big names of the division, his performances - such as Karo Murat - have come against fighters often a notch above Bellew's opponents, under more pressure of expectation and with a generally higher profile. He has also improved steadily. Bellew was at his gung-ho, exciting best in the first McKenzie fight, realized that at any sort of level that sort of performance was going to get him flattened, so for the return he played it far cagier. He proved that McKenzie is ordinary, but also removed all offensive tools from his own arsenal to do so. For me, it was not an improved Bellew, it was just a vastly more careful Bellew.

    I just think that, whichever Bellew turns up against Cleverly, he will lose. That is not based on hype, and I am really setting the WBO belt aside in how I view this one, it is just based on a comparison of the records and levels of two good domestic fighters.

    I like Bellew, and won't be distraught if he wins, and I am not saying it is impossible - he has a punch on him, and if Cleverly really gets it wrong then Bellew could win it - but I just think that Cleverly is a level above Bellew and should have this one won.

    My only twinge of disappointment is that deep down I don't want either of them to lose!!

    i agree with most of what you are saying & i understand why people think clev will win. i just see bellew taking this opportunity with both hands, i really do. maybe im being a fool & if im wrong i'll be the first person to put my hands up & congratulate clev.

    i just hope its a damn good fight ha

    I know what you mean, and I'll put my hand up should Tony spark him, just glad we get to find out soon. I think it can't fail to be good to watch. Just hope we get the aggressive Bellew, trying to put Cleverly on the back foot and looking disorganized and wanting to trade, as I think that the careful Bellew of Ovil 2 would get picked apart. I say this as I want an exciting fight, not because I want Cleverly to win - I'm a net Cleverly supporter on the night.

    Nathan will catch him early,Tony will realize he is in to deep and start to back off confused and hurt,after that he will just want to last out for the sake of his honour.......
