When Collazo beats Berto, should Hatton challenge Collazo and snag the WW WBC STRAP?

Sounds feasible..I could see Luis giving Hatton the fight to avenge the loss, and after Hatton beats Pacman, he may want to grab a strap at welter

When Collazo beats Berto, Hatton will stop drinking himself 5 belt sizes north of ideal in between his trainings. Fat chance that either happens anytime soon.

Could set up a battle later this year with collazo and Hatton, after Hatton beats Pac, and Colazo has easy defense, then Hatton vs Collazo for the wbc belt in sept/oct

Two problems with that scenario: Collazo ain't beating Berto and Hatton ain't beating Pac. Berto did say that if the right fight presented itself that he would consider moving down to 140, so if anything Berto could move down and fight Hatton after he beats Collazo and Hatton loses to Pac. The money would still be there and most likely the fight would take place in England so that Ricky could fight in front of his fans one last time.

Interesting scenario..Berto would lose easily due to hattons experience and inside work..Berto wouldnt get off

I couldn't disagree more. Berto is completely wrong for Hatton in that he would be way too strong for Hatton to bully on the inside. Berto is excellent at landing heavy shots on the inside particularly his uppercut and I would envision that punch ending Hatton's night somewhere in the mid rounds.

That's one of the reasons I suspect he won't win...he's not exactly judge-friendly

See Hatton vs. Collazo for details :deal

He's quick and powerful...so just think of a powerful less defensive version of Mayweather...

    Hatton wouldn't make it...

Unless the weight loss has an effect... :think

I get the feeling that weight wouldn't be much of an issue for Berto. Today on ESPN chat he stated that he walks around at around 160lbs. He also said that he would be willing to move down for the right fight in that same chat. Berto is a workout machine and came in at 145 for the Forbes fight. I think another 5 pound would certainly be doable for him.
