I know bars pay up to $3,000 for big PPV boxing events which are naturally passed down to customers in the form of cover charges. But when calculating PPV numbers, how are bars, theaters, and closed circuits factored in? Is it 1 PPV buy per venue, by number of paying patrons, or number of TV monitors used to show the fight?
I would think it's just one PPV buy! At the end of the day, multiple screens will display the fight from one source. "Or" you frequently read x fight was bought by x amount of homes. Perhaps commercial PPV purchases aren't counted at all? One or the other.....
