Thurman can sit at range and pick Danny off, he really doesn't need to get involved in a dog fight.

Having said that, if they went toe to toe, i see Thurman giving Danny his first stoppage.

As another poster pointed out, after getting the decision against Matthysse Danny seems to have chosen his path very carefully.

Cant wait to see Angels face after the fight.

Haters will still find a way to discredit the win. They will say Thurman was overrated.

    Precision beats Power
    Timing beats Speed

Danny probably is the underdog against Thurman, not because he isn't a better fighter but Thurman will have a significant size advantage, he could easily fight at 154 he has a big frame and size matters.

I watched the Collazo vs Thurman fight and saw weaknesses Danny could exploit. Thurman definitely doesn't like body punching or the left hook, which Danny basically specialises in.

Danny has good hand speed, a terrific chin and one of the best left hooks in the game. He is adaptable and breaks guys down with precision.

Danny fought all the killers at 140 and moved up and will fight all the killers at 147. The guy still gets called a cherry picker, which wouldn't be that bad generally but when the same people worship Kell Brook and GGG who just fight bums and wait for pay days I don't get it?

In fairness I am a fan of CEJ who doesn't have the best track record making fights but I don't defend everything the guy does and I don't go making excuses for him.

He is also much younger than them and had no amateur experience so his climb to the top is expected to be gradual.

Brook and GGG found easy ways to the top and now make excuses that every one is ducking them so they can wait for a pay day.

First off, Danny is not beating Thurman. Keith has too many advantages: foot speed, hand speed, ring generalship, recuperative ability, adaptability, determination, etc. I even think Keith has more power at 147. Danny will time him with a few crispy left hooks, but Keith will take them and give some back. Thurman by late stoppage or UD, but if Garcia somehow wins I will give him props (as long as it's not a clear as day robbery).

Sounds like if Danny wins by decision no matter how wide the margin he won't get credit.

    The same old
But but you can't judge a fight by punch stat's, DSG only landed 3 punches to Thurman's 1, Thurman landed the harder cleaner shots, Danny was wobbly like a drunk man

    Yeah right!!!!

Or even better Thurman was winning until his eye closed

When I judge a champ or p4p I put a larger weighting on resume. The likes of Ward, Canelo and Danny have great resumes. They seem to get pulled up for cherry picking by the delusional.

When I judge a contender or prospect they generally don't have the resume because they are beginning their careers so they get judged more on the eye test. Style and Skill.

How do you judge a fighter, by the hype of the media?

I've liked Danny since he fought Theophane, and became a real fan when he beat Nate Campbell... you must be one of the millions who thought lucas would KO him, huh?

Listen... if DSG pulls off the upset and whups Thurman.

None of us has much of a choice . We have to give that man his respect and praise him.

BUT ITS NOT GOING TO HAPPEN LOL

Thurman will take him out .

This aint 140 anymore. This is 147 now.

Either Thurman the technician outpoints him or Thurman the beast gets a stoppage late.

I dont know which version of Thurman will show up.

I personally hope "One Time" goes for the knockout.

I know we all want to see it happen.

I'm leaning towards Garcia winning this match up as well. He throws looping shots, wide, slow but he will time Thurman, adapt and finish the fight the victor. Garcia is just one of those fighters, he looks sup-par and less skilled than his opponents (excluding his recent frolic through the farms picking cherries) but he wins.

Is that standard demographic distraction technique to call other whom you disagree with a fan of x fighter to prove they are biased?

I'll give DSG credit if he beats Thurman, plenty of it in fact. I just think it's a shame how the quality of his opposition dropped off in the last few years, almost as if he wanted to protect the "0" until he could cash out against Floyd. Fighting Thurman would of course make up for those "wasted" years.

I doubt he beats Thurman though, he didn't look impressive to me in his last fights, but that's just my opinion.
