When did all the threats to Pac die out...???

I don't think for a second him or Roach are scared of any of them. However he does have new responsibilities and new interests, so what's the point in him fighting anybody other than the guys that can make him good money. If Mayweather doesn't want to fight him I'd actually like to see the man retire on top of sport, rather than destroy a crop of green prospects

I think the Pac aura would lose its luster because quite frankly, he looks unstoppable with the people who gets picked for him to fight.

Its been 6 years since 2003 when he came on the scene and he STILL hasn't fought a slick American Fighter. SIX!!!

Bradley and Alexander are still more deserving than Margarito, especially Bradley. I still think Pac is ducking them to a certain degree because he isn't speaking up about the selection of opponents. He's letting someone else choose for him. Pac is in the driver's seat, not Arum. I realize Arum is the man behind Top Rank. But this is Boxing. This isn't MMA where co-promoting doesn't happen.

And for crying out loud, Goddammit, please give fighters who have worked hard up the latter a chance to shine. Bob Arum is basically giving Margo a gigantic bonus when he's done nothing but fought a bum and gave the sport of Boxing a black eye in recent times. Marg is lucky he didn't go to prison. Yet Arum not only gave him a chance to come back to the company but an opportunity to laugh all the way to the bank as well. I don't care if the majority of fans think Pac would literally knock off Bradley's or Paul Williams' head off in the ring. This is about giving fighters what they've earned.

The most popular fighters aren't always the best and shouldn't always be given a golden opportunity. That formula is acceptable in WWE. I'd like to be assured that Boxing is on a different level in which the emphasis is on competition.

 

Pac mops all those guys up. Margarito is a tougher fight then Bradley and possibly Berto. The only 'slick black fighter' out there who could pose a challenge for Manny right now is Floyd, and he doesn't want to fight.

I will never understand some ESB Posters lack of Comprehension. Most "real" fight fans are simply critical of Pacquiao's choice (Although this may be the work of Roach) of the same kind of fighter. The same slow, Non Defensive, easy to hit fighters. During his whole career, he has fought two fighters with solid Skill...JMM and a Fading Morales. And in two fights versus Marquez, JMM won 16 of the 24 rounds. And has a loss versus a FADING Morales.

Look you can criticize the Floyd Mayweathers and Shane Mosleys and De La Hoyas of the World....But in the end they all have tested themselves against DIFFERENT STYLES AND KINDS OF FIGHTERS....From the Brawlers, to the Slow, non defensive fighters and Slick Fighters:

Oscar: Quartey, Trinidad, Hopkins, Floyd, Gatti

Mosley: Diaz, Estrada, Forrest (twice), Winky Wright (twice), Floyd, Mayorga

Floyd: Corrales, Castillo, Hatton, Gatti, Judah, Mosley

Hell even JMM Marquez has a nice Diversity of Styles on His Resume, fighting taller or faster or slickers fighters: Pacquiao, Gainer, Mayweather...etc.

No real fight fan is saying that Pacquiao is afraid or ducking these so-called skilled Slick Black fighters. All posters have been saying is that fighters like Berto, Alexander, Williams and Bradley have said that they would love to fight Pacman. And neither of these fighters are requesting additional blood testing, all hold titles and all will be willing two take less share of the purse. Yet the last two chioces were Clottey and Margarito? I think fight fans would like to see a Fast fighter like Pacquiao finally face a Fast fighter. Is that too much to ask?

And here is another good question for you....Can you explain how a fighter with almost 60 Pro fights has yet to face a "Skilled Slick Black American" fighter....IN THE SPORT OF BOXING? Thats like living in Mexico for 6 years and never had Mexican Food...REALLY?

But I am well aware that somehow and in somehow, Pacquiao fans will see my post as saying..."PACQUIAO IS AFRAID OF BLACK FIGHTERS...BLAH BLAH BLAH". And for those who reply with a post like that, then they have just told you everything you need to know about their LACK OF COMPREHENSION for what they read!!!! There are alot of really Good, Fast, Skilled, fighters in Boxing. Fans just wanna see the Pacquiao fight these kinds of fighters.
