when did boxers start wearing shorts?

    does anyone have a definitive answer? i'm guessing at some point during corbett's career because the photos from the fitzsimmons fight show them both in shorts, but he is depicted as wearing those long tights things in earlier fights

    When Corbett stop wearing thongs. And NO they were not in shorts, the fight film FULLY shows Corbett in a thong.
