Imo he is an all time great at 168, its a young division with little History so it makes 100% sense that he would be an ATG there.

In p4p Terms I would struggle to put him in the top 50 more like 75-50 imo

No, he never did. And i rate him, he simplt is not an ATG. I'm even a Kessler fan. ATG is so overused.

After watching the first fifteen seconds of this video it is clear that Joe is "special" .... ... ATG? Get serious...

It is who you fight and when you fight them that matters ... Joe is above average and deserves the HOF .. but not EVEN CLOSE to being elite. Due to his gaudy record he stands in the back row with guys like Steve Collins and only a couple paces ahead of Sven Ottke types.

Well logically...it would not be any one event..I guess you could say that one event would finally tip one over the top..but basically I would say that Calzaghe does just barely quailify as a all time great in my opinon..but its based on everything all together. None of the things you list are really great, but all together, when combined with no loses....do amount to ATG status....but i know the point of your poll...to show how no one thing he did was all that great...yes true...but again...put them all together.

SD against 43 year old Hopkins

that is clearly a loaded opition, ment to make Joe look bad...but truth is Hopkins is still a damn good fighter even now....and as for it being a SD...in my view it was a pretty clear but competive win for Joe.....

its loaded in so far as hopkins at 43 doesnt seem to be much worse then he was at 33..and is better then he was at 23....yet saying 43 automatically makes people think "shitty version of-said fighter" because most fighters are shitty verisons of themselves at 43...also it was a SD, but Joe won that fight, it wasnt as close as SD makes it sound.

damn im really not trying to be a total defender of Joe....but you do realize he was throwing like that for 10 whole rounds right? it shows that at the end..yes those arent real punches..and it is kind of dumb...but that still isnt a easy thing to do..most boxers could not do that.

Hes not. Hopkins was robbed, jones shot, lacy was never great and kessler has jusy been shown to be one dimensional.

You have to be great in order to be an all time great. Undefeated against bums and old dudes doesn't make you great. By his own choice he's never proven himself against great fighters, and that has to hurt him.

Not an ATG. Not even close.

    HOFer, yes, but not ATG.

The general forum still has a little bit of credibility left with over half voting as such (not an ATG).
