no way, in every sane persons mind he is the undisputed champ. beyer, bute etc etc dont mean hes not the champ. i mean he fought manfredo instead of stieglitz for **** sake! thats y the ibf stripped him.

everyone is just pickin holes, when calzaghe beat lacy he had 17 defences, 18 after jeff, and the other champs were kessler with 1 belt and 2 defences and beyer who kept losing the wbc belt and got ko'd by glen catley. so in my mind he was the undisputed 168 champ. only after kessler unified was ther a ? and a legit conteneder to his no.1 status.

Unoffically (as in, in every sane person's minds) - I agree. He's the champ.

Officially, he's NEVER been undisputed champ.

So Calzaghe has never been the undisputed champ, I wasn't aware of that. I've read countless posts stating the opposite.

right basically he held the wbo belt for yrs and made 17 defences and then fought ibf champ lacy and was awarded the ring belt. made 2 more defences, got stripped for not fighting robert stieglitz during that time. then on his 21st defense he beat wbc and wba champ kessler.

so in all he won all the major belts and was stripped of the ibf. so pharoah and anyone else who says hes not officially undisputed is just being a TWAT.

    eh??

so...antonio tarver isnt really an ibf champ then either cause he beat a lesser opponent in clinton woods...compared to calzaghe beating hopkins for ring title...

so...would lucian bute sitting at home holding his ibf belt, on the night calzaghe gets crowned 'undisputed', be a twat too then ??

i'm sure he would be at least thinking that his ibf belt was worth something/...

lol, thats funny the wy you put it but yes. considering it was steiglitz who was the mandatory in the 1st place and bute doesnt have a claim imo. its near impossible to hold all 4 belts these days. hopkins managed it for a while then once taylor won it he was stripped by guess who....the IBF!

i dont want to be argumentive...but a champ is a champ...unless termed an 'interim' champ..

it wasnt called the world paper ibf title the night it went round his waist..
