When did entrance music start being used in ringwalks?

    :blood no way the had the power to wield hefty stadium amps into an arena just for 30 seconds of a guy walking to the ring coupled with the fact that it was a one night only affair, they would have to have the music their or the boxer would have to bring the vinyl to the stadium

    a live band made much more sense till the late 70's early 80's where you could pretty much play music and let the fighter choose what he wants. everythign was cheaper and smaller by then.

    a good example before was the british obsession with playing fanfares for the fighters to get to the ring.

    I believe that both Ken Buchanan and roberto Duran had music that night when they fought. not sure though.
