Was it after Hatton? Cotto? Margarito?

I know Floyd is not scared to lose. He took a rematch with Jose Luis Castillo who beat him the 1st time. No doubt, Floyd knew he lose that fight but had enough balls because Castillo had no chance of ever hurting him.
Pac on the other hand has a legitimate shot of finishing Floyd off if he ever gets caught. Pac punches with power and precision, a southpaw with power in both hands.
I believe Floyd ducked Pacquiao because he is afraid of getting knocked the **** out.

I think his father started the nonsense with his "pac is so little, beaten up big guys, bullet proof, impossible" talk after Hatton right around time of the Cotto fight, but I think Floyd still wanted to fight Pac as soon as the Cotto fight was over or he wouldn't have picked that time to come out of retirement.

For what its worth, Floyd knew in the first Castillo fight he was injured, and I had him winning it anyway. I think they should have counted that as a knock down in the first fight, first or second round. I don't think he did any better in the second fight, but I feel he edged them both (he ran a lot more in the second one, in my opinion, but nobody sees it that way).

    Pacquiao is Floyd's "Clubber Lang".

    He's scared to death.

Floyd announced his comeback at the day of pac vs hatton, he probably wanted to fight the winner, either hatton 2 that beat the number 1 p4p or pac the little former flyweight that only foughta shot oscar at 147, when pac destroyed hatton it had hattons trainer and floyds father spinning around that marble that he calls his brain and made claims of steroids, floyds was scared then, the cotto fight sealed it and now he is shaking in his boots ducking for a really long time. Eventually he will fight pac arum is to smart to let that opportunity go by, when pac is over the hill and shot(might be sooner then people expect) brave hero floyd mayweather will find his urge to face him, potshot his way to a ud and claim to be the goat.... long live boxing.

Hopefully, Pacquiao will retire #1 ranked P4P and decide he don't need Floyd and don't give HIM the fight. Then Floyd will have live with the stigma of never fighting Pac and lose what little legacy he has.

    Mayweather exposed as chicken

HBO Sports president Ross Greenburg released a four-paragraph, five-sentence statement Monday which cast doubt upon the veracity of Floyd Mayweather Jr.; Mayweather’s best friend, Mayweather Promotions CEO Leonard Ellerbe; Golden Boy Promotions president Oscar De La Hoya and Golden Boy CEO Richard Schaefer and which forever eliminated any doubt about Mayweather’s intention: He’s ducking Manny Pacquiao.

    Floyd, as in avoid

This kid was possessed of greatness. Problem is, he’s not a kid anymore. He has no injury. He has no excuse. The fight game is only as big as its biggest fight. So don’t decry the state of boxing. Decry the state of Floyd Mayweather. That’s the problem.

“If (Mayweather) wanted to fight him, he’d be fighting him,” said Mosley.

Translation: He doesn’t want to have anything to do with Pacquiao.

No one who's at PBF's level is scared of another fighter and anyone who thinks that doesn't know **** about boxing and should find a new sport. Was PBF scared of Mosley? Scared of Oscar? Scared of Hatton? Scared of Chico? Scared of JLC 2x? Neither man are scared of the other there's many reasons why fights don't happen and fear isn't one of them:deal

I would'nt say his scared, but the hatton KO might have put a few doubts in his mind.
I've lost interest in this fight at the moment. Both sides let boxing and it's fans down big time.

Pacquiao's screaming "I want Mayweather! I want Mayweather!!!" And Floyd Sr. in the crowd shittin his pants as Pacquiao screams and clowns on him about how he is gonna **** Floyd up.

    It's life imitating art.:hat

It was after Pac-Cotto that the terror set in for Mayweather.

Team Floyd did not expect Manny to be able to walk through the shots of a guy -- Cotto -- that Team Floyd had themselves ducked. That was when the Power Pellets Derangement Syndrome took full flight.

Until that time, everything was in good standing for Floyd to be able to execute his master plan: Come back from "retirement" and get back all your heat by beating the pound-for-pound king whom you were naturally much larger than. It was all set, the grand plan in good order.

    Until Pac-Cotto.

    You know the rest.
