    It all began with Hatton.

Floyd senior was paid an exorbitant fee to train Hatton to beat Pac.

Not only was the chemistry between Hatton and Ol' Floyd not good, they needed an interpreter to communicate.

Bottom line: Hatton did NOT get his moneys worth from Floyd senior, and Floyd senior was more upset, embarrassed and dismayed by the utter destruction of Ricky than Ricky was himself.

And so the Pac-and-PEDs myth was born.

Not a single shred of evidence other than: He couldn't be that good unless he was on something.

Floyd junior was not afraid of Pac before this. But witnessing Pac destroy Hatton in a far more devastating manner at his best fighting weight, than he himself had managed at a weight where Hatton had little resume, caused Floyd to feel twinges.

This, coupled with the old man's embarrassed ravings, resulted in fear flowing through Floyd's veins.

When Pac demolished Cotto, the fear was reinforced.

Most pro boxers and a good many ATGs know the score here.

    Floyd fears Pac.

A 10 round clinic or a 2nd round KO both impressive both resulting in the same outcome a dominating win. PBF beat Hatton first and he's not a KO artist he's a defensive counter puncher who looks to outbox not KO if it's there he'll try for like against Hatton but it's not his main objective, two totally different styles. I can't believe a guy who's been on ESB as long as you would make such a dumbass and simplistic statement but what am I saying you've been picking against and bashing PBF as long as you've been here. PBF beat Hatton in 10 Pac beat him in 2 GTFOH:patsch

BTW you also need to learn how to score a fight Hatton won one round of that fight at best. PBF shut his ass out and gave him a boxing lesson.

Lastly if you think a guy with 41 pro fights and tons of AM fights is scared of another boxer you're a bitter hater who can't be taken serious. Neither guy are scared of the other here. There's many reasons why fights don't get made and fear isn't one of them.:deal

The Hatton fight pumped a little fear into Floyd, but when Pacquiao brutally defeated Cotto a much superior fighter to Hatton and a full blown welterweight that was the final straw.

You really need to cut this ****. I know you say it because then you sound like you are being 'respectful to fighters', but that just your angle.

If you don't think it's possible for one fighter to be afraid of another just pop in Tyson v. Spinks.

I am and you'll never hear me call a fighter a coward. People who do it are full of **** and have no respect. It's one thing to not like a fighter and say he's overrated but to call a guy who fights for a living a coward is just ridiculous and you know it Lance.

Sure, but that doesn't mean boxers can't be scared of another fighter. They are human after all.

And please, I've seen you say a lot of **** towards other boxers, not being respectful at all. Pick a personality ansd stick to it Sybil...

WTF am I trying to spin? Just calling you out on the **** you say as well, since you were talking about 'respect' an all. Bashing fighters isn't respectful. Or do you only get pissed about respect when it involves Mayweather? :deal

Coming form a guy who seems to bash anyone who's a PBF fan that's rich. The bottom line is Lance I don't call boxers cowards you know it's bull**** but won't say anything but will come after me because I defend PBF from an obvious ridiculous statement. You're a real piece of work man.:-(

pac was a perfect comeback fight for floyd in 2008. he just beat dela hoya, could fight at 147, floyd's weight class, but still questionable at the weight.hatton's demolition put in some concerns. cotto's loss was just a confirmation pac was dangerous at 147. hence, no fight until now.
