When did Fury start caring about his zero?

But he is already rich. Its not about that.

I feel he isnt confident enough in himself to beat Usyk and retires prematurely to dodge that fight.
Him retiring with his zero allows him to keep telling those delusional stories about how great he is to himself.

I guess Wilder punched his balls in, since he changed after Wilder 3 and after Usyk schooled AJ for some reason.
Before that he still had plans for several more fights.

I've been saying for ages he's not keen on stepping back up to CW Level again to face the GOAT Usyk and to be perfectly honest with you I don't blame him

But if he didn't care about his zeros he and his lovely family wouldn't be living in a luxury 7 berth caravan on the Morecambe Rivera

Because Joshua has more routes to get to him because he has more belts and the fight would make Usyk more money. Do you struggle with simple comprehension ? Usyk cannot fight both Fury and Joshua at the same time. It's one or the othee and any given time so he took on Joshua first and wanted Fury afterwards.
He's confident he can beat Fury again and for the step aside i already provided links
Fury is ducking undisputed. If Usyk wins again do you think he's going to fight contender or do you think he's going to try and fight Fury ? Anyone with a brain cell knows its the latter because Usyk wants to become undisputed. Fury is one or 2 fights away at most from fights for undisputed. All of the sudden he retires LOL give me a break. A very simple minded Fury fan indeed

It wasn't either ducking there from what I could see, and it said couldn't say what was or wasn't correct, so not conclusive at all

You say one or two fights away but consider that could be over a year
Not sure what you don't understand with that and I haven't seen anything to indicate Usyk calling for it yet

It's literally undisputed and it's right around the corner. This is the fight that makes Fury great. But instead Fury retires... i wonder why... maybe it's because Fury admitted Cunningham was his hardest fight and Usyk makes Cunningham look like a joke in every department.

He doesn’t want that fight. And Fury will always have that question mark, because he ran from undisputed and is just shy of a great heavyweight resume

    This content is protected

This was possibly a case of him protecting his 0 back in 2014, or rather protecting his position in line to get a shot at Wlad.

3 days before the fight he was talking about conspiracy theories, about being set up by the Klitschko's because Ustinov was promoted by K2 and was top 10 fighter. How he had prepared for a different kind of fighter.

But talked about how nothing would stop him fighting, and went in hard on Chisora and Haye. Saying he would never give Chisora a fight again due to this latest pull out.

The fight was then cancelled when Fury's uncle went into intensive care following a knee surgery.

Personally, I think that reason is fair enough, but at the same time Fury didn't really seem keen on fighting Ustinov, and talk quickly reverted to fighting Chisora again.

Hughie was not keen on hospitals and had to be convinced to have surgery following his leg break. After 20 days he agreed to have surgery on it which was the day before Fury fought, he died in the operating theatre after suffering a blood clot. Fury pulled out of the bout and attended the hospital along with his trainer Peter. Hughie lay in a coma for weeks before dying of pneumonia

If that's not a legit reason to pull out of a bout I don't know what is. Fury would have boxed rings around him.

By all accounts Fury really should have pulled out of the Wilder 3rd bout but sometimes you just have to bite the bullet and a big bullet he did bite.

He's kinda the heavyweight Mayweather, you can tell he's modelled a lot of his career based off him. I can't knock it, when you're as good as they are, it's a guarantee for a lot of success and money.

    Once again...
How long is Fury expected to wait?
    Again
I don't think Usyk and Joshua have signed to fight or agreed a date for the rematch as of yet.
How would Fury know how long he would have to wait around?

Even if the fight happens this year (which isn't yet confirmed) it could easily be another year before Fury is able to fight the winner, easily and assuming there isn't a trilogy even.

People will then say why doesn't he hang on even longer when there is absolutely no certainty as it stands at the moment

Possibly. Who knows? I doubt that though. I don't think the Cunningham fight was a harder fight than his 1st or 3rd fight with Wilder tbh.
Fury was the only one to beat Cunningham inside the distance and Cunningham was beating undefeated Huck a decade before Usyk, so I'm not sure why you are making the comparison other than they were former CWs.
If you go silly like that, you could say Cunningham was beating prime Huck who pushed Prime Povetkin at HW, who when faded, stopped Whyte, who had stopped Chisora who when gave Usyk a tough fight in the later part of his career
But as I keep reiterating, all fights are different
He might not. Who knows. Point is, the fight is not available and that's not due to Fury that I can see

Fury could take another fight in the meantime like a fighter SHOULD DO. Not retire and leave while undisputed is right around the corner. You're acting as if Usyk/Joshua might not happen until next year. There is no chance it doesn't happen this year and then that sets up undisputed next year at the latest
    Usyk would clown Cunningham

I still don't understand why Hearn never tried to make AJ vs Cunningham once Aj had the belts. AJ vs the last guy who dropped Fury could have made some money in the UK, they could have played the footage of that overhand right over and over as a jab at Fury and to sell Cunningham to the casuals as a big puncher.

You keep trying to dodge the question and now trying to change YOUR terms
If he is looking at retirement he's probably not wanting little fights especially whilst having to wait for an opponent who may not face him, or who may not win (though I would say he is favourite), may require a trilogy.
All these unknowns, and yet you dodge these scenarios

My point is the same as is was at the start.
How long should Fury have to wait around?
Wait around for an unsigned fight without a decided winner that is
Possibly. Usyk is an amazing talent, but as I said before, all fights are different. Usyk although imo a clear winner had a tough fight with faded Chisora who Fury stopped when prime in a fight that was very smooth for him.
Usyk, although I think was doing some excellent work against Bellew which led to the KO was behind I believe on two of the judges cards.
Cunningham was a more accomplished CW than Bellew, so who knows how that fight may have looked?

Southpaws always gave Cunningham hell. While Usyk isn't a huge puncher I'd still favour him against Cunningham. That said, prime Cunningham would probably put up a better fight than any CW that Usyk has faced (besides Briedis)
