Yes, I would have thought that is correct. If two golden gloves kids are fighting and one is blind in one eye and the other is not, I'd guess the handicap is relatively about the same as if they were both world professional champions. But also, I think the effect of handicap depends on how used to it the fighter is. If a kid loses the sight in his eye having developed his style and experience with two eyes, that would probably effect him more than if he'd always boxed with sight in only one eye. I would guess. But I have no persoanl experience of this matter. I'm sure someone will claim HARRY GREB was probably blind in both eyes the days he "kicked Dempsey's ass in sparring" .... :hey
From the beginning of his career he was only partially sighted. Towards the end of his career his other eye was very weak too.
Have you ever fought before? The level of skill and natural talent can be worlds apart for amateur fighters. And while there are different levels amongst elite fighters the gap isn't nearly as huge. More skills, more power and more speed equal more dangerous.
