All i keep hearing on these forums is that hatton is shot and somehow some of the other beltholders would humiliate him at 140 if they fought. To me that is nonesense, hatton beat paulie convicingly going into the pacquiao fight. I honestly believe he could get a few titles at 140, obviously he wont beat a pac or mayweather but he isnt shot.

As for thoughts of khan hatton i still believe hatton beats him. Hatton also should be the favourite against fighters like bradley or campbell at the moment.

So is hatton now over the hill, shot, near his prime. I believe he is past prime only slightly and his ability to take a shot has not substantially decreased overnight.

Certainly "past his prime" and perhaps "over the hill". "Shot" is a word that gets used a bit too readily, another early KO to a Bradley/ Khan type opponent would put him damn close though.

He became shot the night Manny Pac Ko's him

You could put a spin on his loss to Mayweahter.........referee agaisnt him etc

But the his last fight there was no excuses it was when Hatton himself never even had the heart to offer up a joking post fight interview in the ring

    He got destroyed

And that finished him as a guy that can be argued to be the best

Remeber before the Mayweather AND Pac fights there were many people arguing he could win

    NO MORE

he has been found out as not on them guys level

    and he is still good

but he is now firmly on the downward slope

a peak Hatton goes 8 round with Manny Pac and gets stopped on his feet

but this latest fight he got destroyed with ease

he was lucky to make it through the 1st round !!!!

What losing to two of the greats of your generation makes you shot? Yeah Ken Buchannan was shot when he lost to Duran (via a low-blow) as well:rofl.

I dont think he's shot, just not on that level. Past prime yes, punch resistance may have faded slightly, although I dont buy into the agument he has a glass chin at all, defense is the problem, the one thing lacking from his arsenal, a sound defence. Just imagine the what ifs if he could have proved more elusive

This is a complete lot of garbage. You do know what "shot" means, right? As in your attributes have declined to the extent where you do not remotely resemble the fighter you were in your prime. Simply being found to be not as good as your opponent does not automatically mean you are shot. Is Hatton shot now? I guess we'll tell if he fights again. So far as I can tell, the only attribute of his which has declined is his resilience/stamina and that coupled with the poor defence he has always had and Pac's handspeed and power made it a difficult matchup for him.

I'm a big fan of Ricky

And part of me thinks that a loss to a great like Pacquiao isn't the end of the world; not after an easy win against the consensus no.1 challenger in your division

But the bigger part of me thinks Ricky is totally done... no Kayes, no Graham, the lifestyle, the KO's...

My gut feeling tells me he is physically a pale, pale shadow of the boxer he was

'Shot' is a much overused and misused word but I think it's justified for Hatton now,I hope he quits

after the Paulie fight we heard how he looked better than ever....then afvter he got dropped by pac the line was that he was shot...that was a few months later. Laughable. Hatton got gradually more exposed as his level of comp. went up, simple as that....the fools bought the excuses about the Collazo fight amongst others and didn't see the reality....that Hatton was never that good to begin with.
and please don't compare those losses with Buchanan against Duran....look how Hatton got destroyed and embassased in both. No comparison.

I disagree, I think it was just the style of Manny as opposed to Floyd which exposed it quicker

Thats hard to say, Mayweather was content to play the "long game", beat him on the inside and let him become tired and ragged before stepping it up. The Pac fight was a lot more open.

i don't think hattons shot and its a bit premature to call him that although his punch resistance has certainly slipped IMO, but thats not surprising with his style and lifestyle

for me hatton still beats many at 140 and to call a hatton vs khan fight Ali/holmes etc is way off the mark

I don't think he's shot physically, he may well be shot mentally though. He must now know deep down he will never become the P4P champ in the eyes of the public.
