Mosely's just a very very skilled fighter.

Styles make fights. Manny will lose if he's not as skilled as Shane

    That's never going to happen.

There's no way to hype up a Margarito win after a 38 year old Mosely humiliated him

No ones calling him shot. Just hugely overrated.

NO way any fighter can lose by that much to a 38 year old Mosely and still be considered some elite threat.

He was a "threat" for exactly 6 months. After beating up Cotto. Before getting beat by Mosley. If you examine his record before that it is like a roller coaster with him getting beaten when he stepped up in weight or class.

Margo is not a joke now, but for a volume punching swarmer this is a bad fight for Margo due to timing.

To answer your question though, just the way of the world.

Fans will always try and talk up the chances of an opponent. What are they actually going to say?

Manny will beat Margarito without breaking sweat as a 38 year old Mosely has already done so, and he’s looked plain awful ever since he came back from that retirement?

Margarito was plain overrated even when people were claiming he was being “avoided”. He lost plenty, came close to losing numerous times, and was never anything but a tricky opponents.

Now? As I said, you just can’t get away from the fact that a plain old Mosely beat him with ease, at his supposed peak.

Hard to hype an opponent up when he’s coming off a royal whupping.

I never saw anyone saying he's shot. Everyone said he had a shitty night because he got caught.

*****s 'tactics' are about as subtle as a train. Just because Floyd wouldn't fight the man, you try to downgrade the fight to take away some of Pac's shine?

Margarito's a joke against anyone with speed, technical skills, and a decent chin.

This is probably a decent answer to your question here.

1: Margarito got taken to school by Mosely not because Mosely is just way better than him, but he had a bad night.

    2: Pacquiao wouldn't fight Mosely.

3: Floyd did and whupped him

4: Floyd hasn't fought Margarito, so somehow Manny is the bravest fighter in the history of the sport

Possibly, but there is still a size difference.

Also, due to his performance against FMJ and Mora, I am not entirely sure if SSM was not 110% against Margo. Could have been killer instinct and adrenaline though.

It's more the fact that people who respect Floyd Mayweather (*****s I guess) tend to have a deeper interest in boxing than what Manny has for breakfast, so actually have some interest in fights that preceded Pacquiao vs. De la Hoya.

Margarito's looked plain average in the ring numerous times, against numberous grade B opposition.

And it didn't take Shane Mosely to give him a beating.

Can't see what Manny can possibly get from beating a guy coming off a career ending loss to a 38 year old fighter Floyd has already retired himself

its not that simple as hes fast, hes slow, so he has to be as fast - skillful too.

    Man, watch the fight again.

Shane was sloppy as hell against Margarito. Just wildly throwing shots all night. Just came out on top of a almighty brawl.

Put Shane in 100 of those fights and he'll win 99 of them. Nobody will outslug him.

Styles make fights. Shane has always struggled with technical guys. Even in the 1990s.

Just saying, the people I've seen make Margarito look average have done so as they've had good timing, accuracy, and skills in the ring. Hit him, and not taken much punishment in return.

Way Margarito fights, he just soaks up punishment, and gives it back when fighters get sloppy.

Manny will have a very tough fight if he makes himself easy to hit.

Cotto suffered from that problem. He looked like Sugar Ray Robinson in the first 6 rounds. But he was taking a lot of punishment as well. Slowed the guy down

    Here's your basic ******* scenarios:

1: Manny fights Mosely and Mayweather fights Margarito

Manny is stepping up to face the dangerous guy, who destroyed Margarito. Mayweather is ducking the main man, and hand picking fights with the guy he's exposed. He won't fight Mosely because of what he did to margarito blah blah blah

2: Pacquiao fights Margarito and Mayweather fights Mosely

Errr, even though Mosely destroyed the guy I'm now facing, he was old, and overrated, and Margarito is really big, and errr heavy, and quite tall.
