A clear indication of a shot fighter is when they start to lose to inferior opposition, which they would have easily beaten in their prime. Roy Jones V Green Taylor v Abraham Morales V Maidana Barerra V Khan Leonard V Noriss Ali v Holmes Gatti V alfonzo Gomes Castillo v Hatton
Exactly. Margarito is one of the most overrated fighters on here. He's C+ trash and history will remember him as such. He does nothing for anybody's resume.
I vote: None of the above He was shot the moment he decided he wanted to be a professional boxer. Sorry but I have little respect for any and all boxers throughout boxing history that have "ability to take punishment" listed as one of their strengths. Don't quit you day job. That's not what boxing is about.
You are completely wrong. Boxing paved the way out of poverty for many, many fighters. Alot of these guys are starving poor. I applaud them for having the guts to fight themselves out of those conditions, instead of just become street thugs and such.
That has little to do with where I'm coming from. Fighting your way out of a hopeful situations is great and all but that doesn't mean you can't learn some proper boxing ability along the way.
The referee stopped the fight. He really should have done the same in the Pacquiao fight. Pac beat Margarito down worse than Cotto did.
Getting knocked out doesnt mean that he'll be shot outright. Getting his eye busted doesnt mean that he is shot. He can still fight just the way he fought Cotto, Pac, Mosley. All he needs to do is to make his eye be healed completely first before signing up any fight.
