The feud lasted thirteen years (2001 until 2014) and originated with DLH splitting from Top Rank while still actively boxing...leading to his founding GBP.

Their relationship had already soured the previous year when Oscar sued Bob in between Mosley I & II. He felt Arum was racist toward Mexicans including himself (even though he is Mexican American), while also nurturing his own promotional ambitions craving the freedom to direct his own course.

It predated the Mayweather vs. Arum feud (which began in 2006) by several years. Floyd - whose complaints echoed Oscar's - was also promoted by Top Rank for the first decade of his professional career, as was Oscar.

Just felt like arum miss managed their careers. Both made the right choice they have multiplied their income several times by taking the exit.

The timeline is easy to look up. He left...basically in a nut shell because Arum was making too much money off of him. Dlh was the big name. He was the fighter and the promoter made too much money off of him. The opposite: Floyd left Arum because Floyd wanted big money fights.

Jr feud had started well before that ! He had gone to the media in early 2000 claiming Arum was treating him like a slave after Arum had offered 8 million for 4 fights . His previous best purse had been $300000 .

ya well arum also claims floyd owes him some money too for advances...which is why floyd hasnt legally pressed it...arum said he dared him to try(im a floyd fan and hate arum)

the feud started when floyd bought out his contract before the oscar fight...arum offered him like 8 mil a apiece for future fights against cotto and hatton...floyd said he wanted 10 or something...plus floyd wanted the oscar fight which arum didnt wanna do cuz he said he lose money and it wasnt worth it....floyd bought out for 700k and even right after that arum still thought they might do business together again...he was even quoted as saying it....bob never saw it coming what a star floyd would become with the oscar fight
