when i watch the olympic boxing in the past olympics, it looks dominantly like stick and move tactics with great ring generalship. it makes for strategic matches but i dont find it as exciting as professional boxing.

i have heard that olympic boxing once resembled more like professional boxing and it was further proven to me when i saw clips of the spinks brothers winning their olympic matches on espn's clips.

it looks nothing like how does now, the spinks brothers where blasting toe to toe exchanges. leon was going up and up with this cuban fighter like it was the heavyweight championship of the world.

i also remember frazier and foreman winning gold and comparing their styles as more suitable to a professional style fight.

did olympic boxing change to the stick and move flurries in the past 2 decades?
