:think I'm not sure about the Clottey fight, to be honest. He looked as rattled as he did only because of that cut that stopped him from seeing punches.

 It was a sucker punch. In fact, it was two sucker punches. How you're gonna' try and use that to prove Mayweather's power, I do not know.

Fair enough. I have boxed and know this. Last time I sparred, three weeks back, I suffered early consequences for this.

HOWEVER, in my statement that you quoted, "by a monster puncher" is referring to Maidana, as the only guy to have previously stopped Ortiz. So, I hope you weren't misreading that.

didn't see the comma, so I misread it, but still I stand by my point of Ortiz vs Mayweather not showing Floyd's power.

That's nice. I'll start calling Floyd Godzilla. These idiots think Floyd is an unstoppable monster, logic be damned. One fight can change a lot of perceptions. He went from being vulnerable with the two rounder Mosley to ****ing King Kong against no gaurd basket case Ortiz.

He was well on his way to stopping Ortiz with his hands up imo, he was clearly looking for the stoppage in the Mosley fight too

This is almost as bad as the build up of pac/jmm III where about 98% of ESB "experts" were swearing pac would bulldoze marquez in a 0 chance complete mismatch. Mayweather possess great boxing skills coupled with reflexes and a high ring IQ, there is no arguing that. Unfortunately he is NOT a machine and he's not without flaws.Every comment Ive read since the fight was announced its solely focused on everything good about Floyd vs everything Miguel does wrong. You would think Cotto started boxing yesterday by this ridiculousness thats been going around, dont be surprised if yall dont get what ya paid for...this is boxing and no outcome is a given.

people is forgetting cotto beat mosley before manny and Floyd. i think may wins possibly by stoppage....but cotto does well against boxer-punchers. i remember watching the mosley fight thinking cotto is going to get exposed but he met a better version of mosley then out gun and out box him. that win is what made me respect cotto as a A fighter...and atleast skill wise was on par with the May n pac.

still mayweather wins but i respect cottos chances

Many people are saying he'll stop Cotto. (which doesn't necessarily mean knock him out cold, although there are a few people espousing the crisp two-piece as Cotto's doom and pointing to Miguel's erstwhile chin issues dating back to 140..)
