if he wanted him so bad, why didnt he agree to a rematch when asked for one? Duran gave him one

also, if it were only Hagler that prompted him from retirement, why was he back in the ring for a fight with lalonde, for two belts no less

this was nothing but a farce and I'm glad Norris humiliated and punished leonard for it

and I LOVED the Camacho fight!

both him and his fans deserve to suffer for backing his antics

And he definitely didn't make Hagler start the fight in a passive I'll box from a distance mode as opposed to going at Leonard like he went at Hearns style attack. I've always said Hagler has no one to blame but himself and his management for that loss. He gave a fighter who's only hope was to out speed, out maneuver, him the room to do exactly that. Leonard won the fight because Hagler choose to fight the only way Leonard could win. And didn't realize until to late around the 8th / 9th rd he was fighting the wrong fight. He gave Leonard the confidence that he could win by the time he decided to attack. By that time the fight was over and Tyson probably wouldn't have knocked him out with only a few rds to go.

    I wanted Hagler to win

There was hype but I don't remember many experts picking Leonard. I'd have to look at the boxing mags published after the fight was announced again to see the predictions.

I seem to recall It was only a minority of boxing experts and fans who thought Ray had a chance, the long lay off, the detached retina and Haglers destruction of his previous two opponents both at the top of their game.

you can't argue with someone this emotional .. the guy clearly is in a delusional haze and thinks leonard ran off with his high school sweet heart or something .. I've never seen someone so delusional if you got W's over any of his texas ...boxing mafia? .. don't cheer about it because he's gonna say you poisoned them and made a pact with satan to win
