15 out of the 20 boxing writers/trainers/fighters polled in The Ring picked Trinidad to beat Hopkins.
On the Klitschko theme, a lot of "experts" had Arreola down as giving Vitali a tough night in a modern heavyweight war and it ended up being a bit of a damp squid! Another one was the Ricky Hatton Kostya Tszyu fight - I don't think many gave Ricky a chance at all!
Morales vs Pacquiao I- I picked this one right Barrera vs Hamed- got this one right too Jones vs Toney- got this one too Tarver vs Jones II- picked this one wrong Hopkins vs Pavlik- thought Hopkins had perfect style, but not the endurance WRONG
The only people that got Leonard vs Hagler wrong were the judges. Marvin won that fight, fair and square. You shouldn't take satisfaction in the defeat of others, but I was glad that Leonard lost to Norris and Camacho..... even though it wasn't the same.
Ali--Neon Leon. Ali--Berbick was another. Tons of people picked both of the Tyson--/Holyfield fights as quickie blowouts. Tyson--Williams & Mcbride & Douglas. Wladimir--Sanders. Smith--Witherspoon 2. Hide--Chingangu 1. Duplooy--Snipes.
I kid you not. One magazine interviewed various fighters and trainers before the fight and something like 30% picked Williams. I was dumbfounded.
