When did the WBO get reconized as a major tittle?

    WBO Title holders right now. Calzaghe, Guzman, Ibragimov, Gonzalez, Pavlik, and Quintana. Just name a fiew. The WBO is a prestegious belt. With those list of names no wonder people recognize the WBO belt now.

    nah man, real boxing fans know hom much that belt meant to margo..when he took on williams instead of cotto so that he wouldn't be stripped, that meant alot.....

    Fighters make the belt, belts don't make the fighters.

    WBO is obviousy prestiouges when you have the top fighters in certain divisions defending it and only that one in many cases.

    yeah and IBF is only a step above WBO.

    Also, WBA/WBC is only a step above IBF.
