Watched the barrera fight,. thought it was a fluke. Then marquez fight i couldn't believe marquez pulled off a draw, although i had him down a point. Became a big fan of marquez after that fight. Put i took proper notice and followed his career since the marquez fight.

    What you talkin bout Shaunster?

Of course Hatton had a chance against Floyd at 147. Hatton had so convincingly proven his ww credentials by demolishing Luis Collazo with consummate ease, that the world was waiting for the Leonard-Hearns of the 2000s.

    :rofl

Malignaggi was the consensus number 2 lww in the world at the time, and Cotto couldn't stop him even when Paulie had a broken jaw.

    Then Hatton stopped him.

You're a ****ing mongtard and the guy in your avatar is a rehab reject.

blow by blow days. i cannot remember his opponents back then and all i knew was there was this juggernaut who are demolishing much older opponents than him. notable early fights that stuck on my mind was his stoppage of sasakul and his stoppage loss to singsurat.

had seen clips before the Barrera fight ( and read an interview in the Ring Mag ) , but it wasnt unitl he wiped the floor with my beloved MAB that i became a *******.

I can still feel the surprise of that first round all these years later !

    Yike !

Brother , I liked Hatton too but to throw the cherry picker insult around while supporting Hatton , is lobbing boulders about a glass house !

Pac beating Morales , Barrera and Marquez tops Hattons entire career

Same for me. I couldn't believe MAB was being tagged over and over with the same jab, straight left combo and not being able to do anything about it.

Coming up in weight and smashing a legend to pieces is as good a way as any to announce yourself.

I reckon for most people in the west it would be the Barrera fight.

First saw him against Ledwaba, I was in shock in the way he beat MAB, and always thought Marquez and Morales would beat him. I was always a fan, but thought he was probably going to get stopped against DLH, and thought Hatton could win a decision. Now I just recognize him as the best p4p.

  14. Do you really believe that when you say it or are you fishing? I hope your fishing.
Your trying to say Pacman is an average fighter then? Pick an opponent for him.

I really first took notice when he starched barrera. I still remember the fights before that where he was impressive (or maybe not with agapito sanchez but that was one dirty ass fighter), but that barrera fight was what made me realize 'oh **** hes a monster.' Then of course him sending marquez to the canvas 4 times when they fought solidified it. What a great ****in time for 126/130lbs back then.
