When do you do padwork? beginning, middle or end of your workout?

I always wanted to do it at the beginning, when i was feeling fresh and sharp. But, my coach always wanted to do it at the end saying it was good for stamina.

    What are your thoughts?

Depends what the goal is... If your learning new moves at the start- if you trying to develop stamina perhaps towards the end.

Tonight I just did a couple of rounds after a couple of hours in the gym, pads and bodybag, great for building stamina and ending your work out the hard way.

    Usually in the beginning.

Sometimes we'll do it in the end in lieu of a Cool Down Strength/Conditioning exercises, but padwork usually comes in the beginning of my workouts.

This. If you're learning something new never do it tired, that goes for anything physical.

My trainer does it pretty much all they were through our training. He's been working and critiquing my technique, occasionally we'll do a few rounds on the bag

You do all of that in one day?

Run 6.2 miles, padwork and then spar 12 rounds? You are a beast!

2kg on your neck will do **** all do develop much strength.

Back on topic, pads at the start for skill.

Pads/other exercises at the end to build stamina.

posting it again doesn't make it right.

1 or 2kg on the neck doesn't even come close to the sort of force yor neck will take from a punch. You should be bridging off your head like tyson if you're gonna do anything.
