Showtime's coverage is from 9:00 to 10:30. The fight will last no longer than about an hour, and there are no undercards. This means that you can pretty much guarentee that the fight will start at about 9:30.

5 PM EST translates to 2 PM PST. Most American sports fans will be watching college basketball around these times or running errands. 9:30 EST is primetime, and the best opportunity to grab the most viewers.

the fight will start at 9pm new york time.

if the fight starts on showtime at 9.30 then it will be on delay.

uk bill and tv ends at 3am which is 10pm new york time.

Then it definately will be on tape delay, because that fight started at 9:30 EST on HBO. Wait a minute. I remember doing a rbr for that fight on this site, and no one was ahead of me. Are you sure it didn't start at 2:30 in the UK?

calzaghe v kessler was live your end.
    there was no delay.
i just looked at the haye v macrannelli tv sports network website and on there they say the fight will start just after 2 am my time which obviously is the same minus 5 hours new york time.

maybe just a 5 min intro your end and then start.

THE FIGHT STARTS AT 9!!!!!!!! Of course they won't be in the ring at 9, but why is everyone speculating, and arguing about when they will be in the ring? Also, it is live, not on tape delay.

If I had to guess what time they will be in the ring, it would be 9:15 at the latest. Showtime has nothing to do for half an hour, when there aren't any undercards. They have to allow for 12 - 3 minute rounds, with a minute break in between. That is 47 minutes, plus ring entrances and waiting for the decision if it goes 12. They don't have a half hour to waste on garbage before this fight. They will spend about 10 minutes (if that) talking and showing clips, and the fighters will enter.

lol it would really take the **** if showtime was showing the fight delayed...

"hey we don't intend on showing the fight live, but do you mind having it at 2am?"
