He's at 15 consecutive successful title defenses now. At the pace he's going, he's not going to break Joe Louis's record. Really, the only other thing to accomplish for him at this point is to be unified champion. My guess he will retire within the next 12 months, or at least his last fight will be within the next 12 months. He'll beat Leapai, probably beat Pulev, then probably beat the WBC winner. That will make him unified champion with 18 consecutive successful defenses since his first belt in this run. I don't see any reason for him to stay at that point. Also, considering his age, I expect that if he loses to any of these the opponents he will immediately retire. If he loses a close decision, like Holmes, maybe he'll try to avenge, but I don't see anyone decisioning him, if he loses, it will be by ko, and he'll know his time is up.

He should quit after he unifies the title. Nothing else to prove after that and hopefully will avoid long-term damage ageing fighters get when they fight too long. Under appreciated fighter with a phenomenal reign as heavyweight champion.

He will most likely retire after winning the undisputed championship.
That is his last real goal.

There would be very little left to prove after fighting Pulev, Fury, Arreola/Stiverne and Wilder. What legitimate threats would be left after those guys have been dealt with? Solis:roll:? Haye rematch:-(?

The division will be a real circus show when he retires. You're going to see bums like Fury, Chisora, Ruiz Jr. and others compete for belts.

He's declining so the end may come sooner than we think so I don't think he'll beat Louis 25 defences. He may have another 2 or 3 years as champion then retire as champion. Can't see anyone who could beat him even past prime.

Beat Leapai, beat Pulev, win the wbc title and finish of with a fight vs Wilder or Fury then retire.
