I really think that the fight he should make happen should be with Valuev. It'd be a great fight and neither man has ever been put down before. Both man do nothing but knock people out so it's a perfect fight.
I would love to see Vitali fight Valuev, I would even consider paying 50 bucs on PPV to see it. Vitali is a fragile fighter that wont make it past training camp again, and will yet again disappoint more fans in the process.
It sounds as if Vitali is going to plan on a tuneup, but will schedule it for right after the Maskaev Peter fight, so he can be fully trained and ready, should Maskaev or Peter pull out or get injured. But I've not read anything on who his tuneup is supposed to be. Valuev would be a good fight, I agree. A very tough comeback fight for someone out for three plus years, most certainly. But I thought the McCline pick was a bold move for being out of the ring for so long. I think Vitali will pick someone else very credible, like McCline. He won't resort to a Rydell Booker or a Bandersnatch , as others get away with doing. That's for damned sure.
It wouldn't be a "great fight" at all, but it's not a bad matchup. I do think Valuev would get destroyed, unless Vitali has nothing left at all. It would be semi-interesting while it lasted, although Vitali's jab, technique and strength would overwhelm Valuev fairly easily. McCline would have been a tougher test than Valuev.
Almost 14 feet of heavyweight fighter in the ring at one time. That'd have to be a record for a title fight. Surpassing the McCline Valuev titlefight.
Wlad should but Vitali may have some problems with having to punch up for once. As we know he loves to lean back, and does get away with it. Same can be said for Wlad of course but he hasn't had such a long lay-off. Mind you, you are likely correct Valuev has been disappointing.
Valuev wins via 8th round TKO. Valuev should grab Vitali, lean on him, wrestle him, twist him etc. (Kind of like Kostya did to Sharmba in their first fight when he knew he had a dodge knee). Really test his injured back and knee out. IF Vitali made it through training camp, that should finish him. PLUS, as somebody said, the whole leaning back to avoid punches won't work as well. It didn't work that well against Lewis, and he's only about 6'5" (but with a good reach).
I have declared Vitali unGodly... he pissed me off.. he's like a damn Ford car. Always broken and always in the shop. See, American cars aren't any good. I hate american Cars. Everything from this heathen Country is unGodly and infidel. Vitali = Ford...Which is unGodly American infidels.
I had a 1972 Ford Gran Torino Sport, hood scoop and all that had more cool in one lugnut than anything your **** poor country can produce.
