zab had the ability to be a nightmare for anyone he faced when he was right. i still feel he could have been so much more.

zab is the closet thing to someone who could really beat floyd... rest of the guys are victims in the making

zab always had the ability. always. i know pbf acts the part but when it comes to his craft he is focused and trains his ass off. zabdiel seemed to lack the focus to match his ability. i'm sorry, but to this day i cannot believe that someone with zab's ability lost to baldo no matter how close the decision was.

People don't want to give Floyd credit for adapting to a guy who had a style that gave him trouble.:think

Very true. Personally only a punching "hair trigger" coupled with lightning hand speed can beat Mayweather. Zab has those.

Unfortunately, he never got away from his father to develop into the champion he should have been.

Assuming he won't fight Williams. Which is a pretty safe assumption.

Great statement about Zab. Some day it'll be time to leave your dad and do better things ask Jones & Mosley.

Him too. Just wanted to throw in a couple of names. Too much to bring up all father-son corner relationships in pro boxing.

So true. I just wanted to bring up the contrast of two similarly rising stars and how just that choice seemed to take them on completely different paths.

Zab had enough talent to be where Mayweather is right now. Maybe not at WW, but he would still be a BEAST at 140.

Good question. I want to see Floyd call his ass out though. I want to see that Floyd called up his team and said he wants to get that huge ******* in the ring ASAP. But that won't happen.

    How so?

It was a masterful performance by FMJ. I think one of his best. He used strategy, adaptation, aggression, and the rarely seen (by him) high guard to dismantle a tough stylistic match up.
