Formula One is the number 1 motor sport, it is at the top of the tree.

I watched some Super-bike racing last week, and it's totally ****.

Based off one race? Probably a MotoGP race? Which to be fair has been **** for a couple of years.

Each to their own though, I just prefer bikes as they're more rebellious, more dangerous and more hardcore, no F1 race would ever match the lunacy of the TT.

Got way more respect for those that race on Bikes. More skill involved and higher risk.

Moto GP has not been as good as it used to be when Rossi and Gibernau were locking horns, and it died a little when Simoncelli died. He was the next big thing for the sport, the next shinning light. Although nowadays, the only riders I have any time for are Rossi and Pedrosa, I can't stand Lorenzo or Stoner, spoilt f*cking brats the pair of em. How Lorenzo got that Malaysia race stopped, I'll never know, he nearly come of, then called for the race to be stopped, and they obliged. He was all hugs and kisses in the garage, no f*cking wonder, they gifted him the championship. I really wanted Pedrosa to do it this year.

As for F1, that Ferrari was all over the place early in the season, the back end was on ice. Massa was coming of all over the place and finishing way back, but Alonso's driving kept him in the hunt. I admire Alonso more for that, it shows how much of a good driver he is. I can't get behind Vettel, its just plastic, a good driver yes, but in the best car. If he was in that Ferrari at the start of the season, no way would he have got better out of it than Alonso. No driver on the paddock would have, they'd have been stood at the side of the car sulking and spitting out their dummy's that the car isn't doing everything perfectly.

I don't think people that race on bikes are more skilled than Formula One drivers.

So has the redbull been the best car all year..? No.

Was Vettel pulling performances out of the bag all year..? Yes.

Alonso's early season performances where down to allot of luck aswell. Lewis Hamilton has had numerous car failures, and stupid mistakes from his team.

But that's the nature of the game.

The Ferrari has been a steady car, its not weak in any area, but its not immensely strong in any area.

Unlike some of the other guys.

I love Stoners bike control there is nobody with better throttle control out there, can tell he was a dirt tracker in his youth, still a weird, whinging, rat-looking **** with a chip on his shoulder though.

Just boring mate, there seems to be no in-depth detail and discussion. About how the teams compete and develop their bikes, and i enjoy all the aspects of formula one racing, like the strategic game, with the pit stops, tyres, car set ups.

I admire Stoners ability on the bike, no question about it, he is a talent and rides like no other I have seen. He throws the bike into corners controlling the back end. He is brilliant to watch, but him and Lorenzo are just ****s who want it all their own way. And when they get beat by the better man, they cant hack it, yet want everybody to kneel down to them when they win.

If what happened to Sic, didnt happen and happened to one of them. I can safely say Moto GP would have been better of in the long run.

    Brilliant riders, but ****ing ****s.

Neither do I, it's two completely different skillsets though isn't it? You can't really compare them, I remember years ago they let Mick Doohan a great bike racer loose in a Williams F1 car and he wrecked the thing, if you'd have taken one of the top F1 drivers at the time like Schumacher or Hakkinen and given them a grand prix bike it would have been like watching a rodeo getting flung off a bull.

Yes i agree, its totally different...."I was just pissed off by that other kid on the thread, moaning and whining".

If you have got a problem with the sport..? Don't ****ing watch it.

Formula One racing is safer these days, mentally bike racers might take more risks in a Formula One car etc.

How safe is Motor Bike racing, MotoGP etc..? Seen afew crashes the other week, and they got up and walked away.

Infact one guy broke a collar bone.

    I was thinking to myself.

Why don't they develop body suits for Formula One drivers.

If them suits can somehow protect the bike drivers, you will be laughing inside of a Formula One car.

Well a bike is a very simple machine compared to a car, there's only so much you can do with one and I like that and I like the mad dash from start to finish with no pitstops it keeps it more "pure"

That said MotoGP is a bit techno these days though with all the traction control and onboard computer shite changing the bikes set up throughout the race. I raced 125cc 2 stroke bikes as a teen and they had **** all technology wise if you wanted to make adjustments you did it with a spanner and if you ****ed up you had to pray and hope there was a god. These days to make adjustments they plug a laptop into it and program the ECU, if you **** up the traction control kicks in, hence why you don't see as many "highside" crashes these days because most of the time the electronics prevent it.

Don't get me wrong I admire the tech as the stuff on the race bikes eventually filters down to road bikes and makes riding on the road safer, same with cars isn't it? Kind of like test pilots car and bike racers are.

I am a fan of formula one, but i cannot stand most other motor sports, or just don't bother with them. And i don't buzz off cars in general! I am not one of these people that watch Top gear etc...

It was just one of them things, growing up. I can remember watching boxing, athletics, and my first vivid memory of formula one was watching the race when Aryton Senna died!! I will always remember it.

I always remember the helicopter coming to air lift him.

I am from a athletics background, but i have always made comparisons between formula one and sprinting. The mentality of always searching for hundredths of a second, analysing training protocols to gain a edge, to maintain the performance and stop the regressions of performance. Athletics is such a simple sport, but just like all the technology from Formula One, and Racing bikes filters down to every day transport.

Sports like Athletics, Cycling, Swimming, from a pure sports science point of view is where science is really pushing the boundaries. Where doing things years years before football players, and boxers where.

All the steroids or break through in sports science. Them sports up above are just basically scientific arena's.

The last big scandal in sports the Balco scandal.

    Was also originally called.

    "Project World Record"...

The THG was first tested on Tim Montgomerry, and he broke Maurice Greene's world record in 2002, and ran 9.78sec.

All them Formula One drivers, look like they enjoy life so much. Its such a glamours sport, i love all that ****.
