Gomez, the contender that Cotto slaughtered. Everyone and their cat were saying afterward that Gomez was shot? Gatti was an awsome fighter, but he was mainly a B fighter who will fight to the end.
Exactly and nobody says Marquez is overrated and to me was basically the same mismatch not only on the weight issue but in skills too.:deal
The guy had six losses before Mayweather. Is Gatti a great win for DLH or is he lost in all the average good boxers DLH beat, not to mention a younger Paez? I'm just bringing up DLH to show how one man's ko's are not considered great wins and yet they are for another boxer.
Gatti fought Oscar at 147, Floyd at 140. Which is why Hatton is considered a much greater win for Pacquiao despite Floyd KOing him already.
Oscar made Gatti look pretty freakin small. And while yes Gatti took a huge beating against DLH, he still managed to land a few punches on em. cannot say the same for the Floyd fight.
IT WAS A TECHNICAL MISMATCH BY FAR..THIS IS ANOTHER REASON FLOYD GETS LITTLE CREDIT FOR ALOT OF HIS WINS...the Gatti that Floyd fought was on a very nice run and people dont remember that..
De la hoya killed Gatti several fights back with a KO in the fourth round. Gatti was just another way for Mayweather to do his Cherrypicking. People who really keep up with boxing see why certain fighters pick fighters with names as opponents but know deep down inside its a mismatch because of certain fights they faught in the past
damn, who would of thought HATTON of all people would be more competitive against floyd then gatti, baldomir, and the sure hall of famer marquez....never saw that coming....
