Never once have I said I do not like Pac. How are their styles similar? Valero is far more advanced after 25 fights than Pacquiao was. What does this have to do with the question?:think

Well, can I just say beating Barrera (who had just beaten Hamed not too long before) was a brilliant win.

I'm not gonna' jump on the Valero/JEFF M-bashing aspect but Beenie's post was very good I must say.

Valero's right hand is as good as his left hand. He has more power, equal speed, does not lose his balance, a better jab, better timing and better body punching if you really want to compare them after 25 fights or even now.

    Wanna know the BIG DIFFERENCE?!

Pacquiao was around 19-20 y/o when he attained 25 bouts.

Valero is already what? 28 y/o only attaining 25 bouts.

i assume you are aware of the fact that antonio pitalua is only months shy of his 40th birthday and his fight with valero was his 50th as a professional in a career that began in 1992. and the best name on vicente mosquera's record other than valero is probably an over the hill yodsanan sor nanthachai.

i am not knocking valero here, the kid is just starting to step up to the plate now...i'll give him the time to do it, but let's not pretend he has wiped out any prime, top fighters either.

This is a thread about Pacquiao but Pac fans can't stop bringing up Valero and answer the original question.

So your saying that the adoration that you have for Valero derives strictly from his resume which consists of no signature wins where as the contempt that you carry for Pac derives from a lackluster resume?:huh

I have no contempt for Pacquiao. I like Valero, but what does
that have to do with Pacquiao. Why don't you address the actual question?

Yes, Jeff M, I would say Barrera was the only time Pac has beaten an ELite fighter in or around their prime.

Can't understand why you dislike Pac so much though when he is Valero times ten (apart maybe from heavy hands.....but this means nothing if Valero can not implement them against top fighters)
