When, if ever has Pacquiao beaten a top fighter in their prime convincingly?

The prime guy doesn't always lose to the non-prime guy...

hatton nor cotto was not prime you dingy assholes. Hatton retired after the fight bc he was past it and he was contimplating retirement after taking a beating from floyd and looked like **** in the luzcano fight and he beat paulies ass bc he is not that good and can't punch. Cotto got destroyed by margarito. Everyone in boxing says pre margarito cotto is a whole different animal than elephant man cotto. Cotto has not looked good since his most recent fight. So you can say cotto was close to prime but after a debiltating ass whooping.

And Clottey nor Ledwaba have never been top fighters. Just good ones. That leaves only Barrera, and like I said, he had a lot of miles on him already.

a lot of ignorance and jealousy on this thread.. anybody that saids Cotto was pass his prime when he fought pacquiao is just a hater or just stupid... one loss to margarito doesnt mean you're pass your prime.. it means you lost to a better fighter.. undefeated fighters are not the only ones on their primes

There have been many cases where a fighter would never be the same after one brutal beating which was what happened in Cotto/margo.. Margo beat it out of him and was obviously not the same after..

Cotto was not in his physical prime nor was he at his best psychologically against PAcman..

All Pacquiao can do is beat the fighters that are put in front of him and he's done so.

To the OP, you can say Barrera, but he was in some wars beforehand.

Both Cotto and Hatton had one loss each prior to fighting Pac and that single loss was enough brand them as past prime fighters!:patsch

You're right Ledwaba was not a top fighter, just a champion with five successful title defenses when he fought Pac.
