This is pretty amazing. It is rare to see one southpaw that can move and throw knock out punches with both hands let alone 2 at the same time. Pretty ****ing amazing. (ped's cough cough)
I guess, I mean it would have happened eventually, but not now because Martinez is #3 (#4 if Floyd is still not retired)
It's not too surprising. Southpaws are nightmares for most fighters. Hell, Ali only faced one southpaw in his career and didn't look very good doing it. Southpaws with good footwork, good overall speed and throws in bunches with power are more dangerous than any other type of fighters in boxing. They have advantages over their orthodox counterparts that just can't be measured on paper.
To each his own. I think Donaire is still higher-rated than Martinez but those who rank Martinez above Donaire has a case. Donaire wants to fight again in May so hopefully we find out if Donaire truly deserves the high ranking (I think he does) but the ***** ass rivalry of TR and GBP is ruining a potential Donaire-Moreno unification bout We can say that the top 3 fighters today have nasty, nasty left hooks; 2 from southpaws and 1 from a switch-hitter lefty
