When is Andy Lee going to be in another big fight?

He's on the matchroom Cardiff show, May 17th vs TBA

 

April 12, I think. Not a big fight, but a fight nonetheless.

 

Lee's had a run of bad luck with landing big fights recently. First it was the Golovkin fight that fell through then the Macklin fight fell through as well.
Lee's out next on Hearn's Cardiff show and i don't expect the opponent to be up to much tbh.
Good fighter though Lee and i thought he did a better job on Bryan Vera than Chavez Jnr did recently, but Adam Booth seems to have changed his style going on his last fight on the Froch-Groves bill.

Wasn't he supposed to get fed to Golovkin recently? Maybe he still can after the JCC jr fight.

 

I'd hardly call not getting fed to GGG "bad luck".
GGGs fathers demise was - if anything- a lucky break for Andy.

As regards Andys level, for me he has looked really great only twice.
Thats twice in 10 years.
Firstly the Vera rematch and secondly in the first 4-5 rounds against Chavez jr.

Vera was and is very limited and possibly flattered Andy, and Chavez has always been a very slow starter.
(Bear in mind many thought Zbik beat Chavez, and Duddy fought him hard all the way.)

Lets be honest - Andy simply is not world level. He has not turned out to be as good as we all hoped he would when he turned pro all those years ago. I'd love to see Andy involved in another big fight - as a cornerman, trainer, manager, media guy...whatever...just not as a boxer, sorry.

There has been talk of Lee moving down to light-middle.

 

There has been talk that the moon is made of green cheese too......but you dont see sensible people going around repeating THAT do you?

 

Lee has no chance against Golovkin........................he is lucky that that fight fell through................
