Although I am a fan of the Klitchko's, I also enjoy watching Brewster fight and hope he is not finished...by the way a healthy and focused Brewster would be a nightmare for Haye.
He was supposed to fight on the Valuev-Chagaev undercard, but it got cancelled. He's still around, has a German promoter now though.
Brewster was never really much more than a clubfighter. He beat Wlad because Wlad is very vulnerable, and the big guy got careless. He also had a quick win over Golata, as if that really meant anything. Other than that he struggled with a lot of second raters. Who cares if he fights again? He sucks.
Brewster, for a time, was really the only exciting fighter in the HW division. I'd love to see him get back to the top...he's an extremely likable guy. On top of that, his fights were just extremely exciting. His fights with Krasniqi and Liakjovich were outstanding.
Brewster is one of the true good guys in boxing and is always willing to fight anyone. He is as exciting as it gets, wins or lose,in the heavy division.:good
Brewster is pretty tough guy. I would love to see him fighting against in-shape-Samuel Peter, Chris Arreola, Or maybe David Haye. Brewster is a pretty good hook machine.:bbb I think if Brewster gets in to good shape and still has at least something left of "it" he would beat the living **** out of a guy like Chris muda****ing Arreola.:deal
brewster had detached retina already after his fight with lyakhovich he might be semi-retired. nobody could make a certain comeback after the disease. many boxers and champions gave up boxing even operation succeed in. I don't think he can take shots hard in competetion or even sparring, his sight may be nightmare much possibly, full of floats, black points, muddy. I love his style, really aggressive. some match up would be exciting like sam peter, tua, rahman, holyfield.
Brewster looked past done against Wlad. Even at his best he took a ton of punches to the head, and he hasn't been at his best for a long time. For his health's sake, I hope he's done fighting.
I have followed Brewster for many years now, and at one time fell in love with his fighting style. As a boxer he was 2nd rate at best, who had a ton of trouble against the likes of Meehan, Krasniqi, Liakhovich, Shufford, and Eitenne. Brewster's "Live by the sword, die by the sword" type attitude got him far in the division, and helped make up for his lack of boxing ability. After seeing him against Wlad 2 years ago, I realized he was not the same fighter I once loved and had faith in, that no matter what he would never give up and fight to the very end, going out swinging. I hope Lamon retires, he gave me alot of good memories that I will never forget and was an inspiration to me after his comeback win against Wlad.
Brewster is scheduled to fight someone named Gbenga Olokun in late August. Anyone know anything about Olokun?
