when is haroon khan turning pro?

Eh? Read it again. I said his style was not "obviously suited to the pro game". That means that certain amateurs look like their style is very in and out, straight, light scoring shots etc. Take someone like Billy Joe Saunders. First look at him as an amateur and you say his style IS suited to the pro game. He goes to the body, can fight inside and does things that wont score in the ams but will translate to the pro game well.

Now someone like Khan or Frankie Gavin....their style did not OBVIOUSLY translate to the pro ranks, so it remained to be seen if they would adapt well to it. Both did in fairness but in Khan's case, some of the issues that were suggested by his amateur style have remained an issue. He cannot fight inside. At all. He throws almost everything down the pipe, meaning that even fast attacks can often be taken on the gloves.

His style was not one that screamed "pro ranks" unlike a banger like Haye or an inside fighter like Hatton. But due to his attributes and some changes he has carved out a very successful pro career.

If anything I was defending him, not criticising him.
