GGG/Lemieux will be my first live profight, so I don't really know what to expect. If I was running the show, I'd get there during the first card and watch every single fight before Gennady's. Unfortunately however, my twin sister and mom are not boxing fans in the slightest and are coming with me. This is my attempt to convert them, so I don't want to over-due it with a ton of undercards to the point where they'll get bored. So, do you think 7 or 8? Or is it that too early? I don't want to show up when it is dead empty, but I don't want to miss the Ortiz and Gonzales fight either. Thanks:bbb
I always enjoyed watching the full card, and would encourage getting there early and making watching the entire card a priority. But the seats are generally empty early on, and most people that are there early usually only seem to be casually watching in my experience. I would say 7 or 8, but if you're with non-boxing fans, you may want to gun for closer to 9ish prior to the beginning of the televised portions.
Its fun going to the fights, even if theyre not paying attention you can have drinks, relax and mingle with other fans around u or with yourselves... i like to get there early and im usually with a group of 9, i grab a beer watch whatever fights are on and I enjoy talking to the fans... its really fun.! It gets you hyped up for the main card.
Get there when doors open. Undercard bouts are usually great. Even if they're not you can sit around, schmooze with people around you or talk amongst yourselves while having drinks and getting pumped for the main event. Why not get your money's worth? Makes absolutely no sense.
Not attending the full card is like ordering a latte and just sipping the foam and dumping the rest out.
:deal I would never think about not watching the full card. I never understood why the arena is empty during the first fights.
get there when the card begins and let the beauty of fistic pugilism cleanse there tainted souls :good
