So be on time. Have them show up and meet you at 9pm or whatever. You don't have to be joined at the hip with them all night, do you? :huh Why should they hold you back from seeing the full card? They can go and get dinner or whatever before showing up in time for Golovkin, if that's all they care about, without you needing to chaperone them, right?

    Completely understand.

Have a great time. You've got a ticket to the big show!

I'd just stay home and hide in a dark corner since you don't have any friends who wanted to go with you. I know this thread was a scream for help and we're here for you, son.

Lol sorry most of my friends are struggling college students and can't afford to drop 1,000+ dollars for a trip to NYC during midterms.

Yeah. I do. I dont even think my mom would allow me to go all the way down to MSG by myself when it's still really empty. She'd feel sketched out, and my dad would flip, lol. It's okay though. This won't be my last profight. I'll still see some of the undercard, so it's all good. :happy Thanks for your input though :good

Being from New York and having been to the Gardens dozens of times with my buddies and occasionally with my wife this is we will be doing.I am going down with 5 of my buddies. We start out by meeting at The Flying Puck about 7pm.Down a few pints and maybe some wings and settle into our seats just before 9pm.That way we get our pints in and catch the major televised bouts.
There is no wrong way to enjoy the evening though. If you want to sit in an empty Arena to catch the prelims -no problem.I have done this before but I just feel getting together first for a few bevvies sets up the night at the fights just perfectly. After the fights it's up to midtown to Jimmy's Corner to top off the night!
    Have a great time!:thumbsup

I've heard Jimmy's Corner mentioned by some boxing folk, and I want to go!!! Do you have to be 21 to get in?

I have to imagine the Garden is a much safer place in the earlier hours when emptier. I would have thought there'd be far greater concern having you there alone during the later hours when the place is crawling with loud mouth drunks.

Don't show them Bowe-Golota I, whatever you do.

I've been to a few in AC and i always go real early and watch all the fights even the untelevised nobodies. I mean, why not?

When i watched Matthysse-Peterson I came real early and saw Amir Khans Bro fight. And before Kovalev-Hopkins i saw Dingaling man fight.

When it's busy, I'd probably be harassed more but it'd be safer to be harassed by someone and have a lot of people around you then to be harassed by someone and have no one else around you. Then it's creepy...

Trust my street smarts! I'm from Memphis:bbb

I'll be your date/bodyguard if your parents will pay for my ticket and bus fare to NYC. :D

    ...I'm not even kidding.

Go as early as you can.

Mother won't leave you there alone, and will know how important it is to you.
