I think it's time for them to kill many of these ridiculous midget divisions and do something about the gap between LHW and Cruiser.

We already have enough weight classes. If you want to fight HW, you should be ready to face big, heavy guys. It’s not like Fury and AJ are unbeatable. Ruiz recently proved that smaller morbidly obese guys can still get the W. Also, the biggest guys are rarely the biggest punchers. Fury hit hard in his last fight but he’s far from a historically big puncher. AJ won his last fight by boxing.

If these huge guys were knocking out all of the smaller guys, I would consider another division. The biggest puncher of this era, arguably, could probably make cruiser.

Probably would've been better for him if he did make cruiser. But hey, more money in Heavyweight

Yep, there is only reason for cruisers to move up and it’s not because it’s easier. Okay, the few weight drained cruisers might feel otherwise but those are rare. Usyk is a prime example. Cruiser is where he belongs but they money is way bigger at HW. You he could potentially make enough in one fight at Heavy to make it a good move even if he loses. No money at cruiser. A tweener division at HW would be the new cruiser.

Fury beats Wilder and Joshua, then retires. He's one-of-a-kind.

Usyk then cleans up. He's smaller, but just better

When there are enough of them to fill their own division.

Now is the time. The super heavyweight would be a ratio division, simple mathematic: if you have this weight, reach and height, you are a super heavyweight.

No, just give the cruiserweight division a few more lbs to play with.

Clearly there is a hugely disproportionate jump from CW to HW in percentage terms compared to the gaps between other weight classes. On the flip side the gaps are too close at the other end of the scale

We already have too many divisions, adding an extra division doesn't do anything to solve the problem. All it does is generate more money for the WBx. The whole range of divisions needs rethinking. Its too close at the bottom and too wide at the very top. We should be looking to standardise the divisions at set weight gaps (in % terms, not lbs which is meaningless over such a wide range)

Instead of having gaps between divisions vary from 2.6% to 14.3% it would be better to have consistent 5-7% gaps between all weight classes upto maybe 240lbs minimum weight

Boxers as big as (and bigger than) Fury have been beaten by small (i.e. classically sized) heavies, and will be again. And David vs. Goliath is great mythical fun. No need for SHW.

The younger generations are getting taller and heavier. So do boxers. For the past 20 years, the best boxers have been about 2 meters / 6 "6-6" 7 from Lennox Lewis, Vitaly Klitchko, Vladimir Klitchko, Tyson Fury, Antony Joshua, Deontay Wilder and so on. Everything changes, so should the categories change. Today it's almost impossible for the best of the cruiserweight to go heavyweight and win the title due to differences in height and weight.

I don't think it will happen. I think it will ruin the Heavyweight division financially as I'd assume that a SHW division would be 215lbs+ or 220lbs+, and then all the best and known heavyweights will move up since most of them are way above that range.
Heavyweight will then be pretty much filled with cruiserweights anyway moving up

Never! Either diet or fight the big men. Fury aside, anyone over 260lbs moves like a zombie. Weight eventually becomes a negative
