So iv noticed hes scheduled to fight a euro-bum some time soon.its funny that hes 30-0 or some crap and all his opponents havent even been british level, his best opponent to date was a shot Jon Thaxton who was coming into the fight behind several losses and i keep reading that he wants khan, i'm not a fan of khan but the guy is beyond murrays level it isnt even funny, murray truely belives that just because khan lives down the street from him its enough to warrant an all british showdown with him
i dont know how he'll do on the world stage but the fights hes involved in arent the best preparation for world level He could be exposed badly when he fights some 1 with a decent jab and good footwork.

Yeah his record really is atrocious for somebody with so many fights.

And his rate of improvement, for me, is quite slow. So I don't see the point, it could actually be slow because he keeps fighting no marks and soft touches.

I'd to love to see John Murray use a bit of head movement, work his way in with a consistent jab, look a bit more lively on his feet, basically improve his transition game instead of plodding. It's okay plodding against European level fighters but a proper boxer is going to outbox him at the moment.

Would be nice to see him face somebody like Santa Cruz.

They are saving him for a domestic megafight with Mitchell in 2013.

Murray's earning potential is not being maximised due to poor promoting. They could've built up a Hatton type of following, he's nothing great, but he'll give us some fun fights whenever they decide to make them.

Unusually, I agree with everything you've said here. I was a big fan of Murray, saw some decent talent early on, but he's completely stagnated and at the moment is going absolutely nowhere....I honestly can't see him picking it up from here.

The bloke has the personality of a brick, whatever his faults Ricky Hatton at least could engage with his fans.

Claims to be the avoided one yet I have it on good authority that if you mention Gavin Rees's name within 100 yards of Mancunia that John Murray pisses his own pants and forgets his own name for between 30 and 45 minutes.

    FACT.

I have totally lost interest in his career. He has had alot of opponents to choose from during his career but always gets the soft option. Rees vs Murray would be ideal for both men right now.

  13. I thought the WBC were lining up an elimination bout for Murray with Daniel Estrada? Assuming he gets past Kudriavstev on Saturday.

If that's still the case then I don't see what the problem is. We should see what he's really made of in the next 12 months.

  14. OK. I see Estrada was recently beaten by Reyes Sanchez for the coveted WBC silver title.

Is Murray still lined up for this?
