He comes to the ring sad...leaves the ring sad...

his family is ok...loves his mom and the rest... he is loved by his country and across the world. He just scored a massive victory in his homeland against a tough as nails threat like carl froch... but still he remains ......emo.

He always seems super friendly at the conferences and weigh ins... he never plays dumb tactics and games.... but he always seems so friggin sad

montoya his new trainer brought out the old beast in him. It was great to see.
He needed change...got it...did well with it and will continue to.. but why is he so ****in sad?

    jim?

Sad? It's quite the opposite I think. Like you say, in press conferances and interviews, he seems like a top bloke. He also looked pretty happy after the Froch fight. Kessler is anything but sad.

he seems like there is a problem/crisis. he was doing fine after the calzaghe fight...but he seems to be..overwhelmed by this super six ****....? I don't know... he seems like a different dude in this whole series.

ne... you are reading his face wrongly. He's most of the time happy and the other times neutral.

He's got camera fright, Heath Ledger style.

The whole media circus leading up to the Calzaghe fight and (especially) the Ward fight really freaked him out. Prior to Calzaghe he wasn't the media star (even in Denmark) he is now. After Ward he had to get a mental trainer to coordinate his training and they had to carefully plan media appearences during training.

    Kessler quote 2006:

"I wish I could be a world champion living in a little shoebox while making 10 million" (or something like that).

He is a well adjusted individual who knows his limitations and doesn't take his life over seriously.I find him a refreshing change from the bible thumping, hypocritical braggarts who generally spew their excuses on tv.

for ****s sake...that don't sound sad and abismal?

he needs to wake up... he thought froch was being rude to him. and was surprised by that. and how inconsiderate he was....

someone tell kessler he is in the middle of a super middle weight war.

He didn't seem bothered by Froch's statements. I think that was just show.

It's perfectly normal to get embarrassed when you get a camera shoved into your face every five minutes and can't cross the street wihtout being mobbed. Guys like Oscar were media stars since their teens. Kessler lived a far more anonymous existence until his mid-late twenties.
