    The rankings are

    Ruiz Jr
    Wilder
    Fury
    Joshua
    Whyte

So if he beat any of those you'd be able to argue they're in their prime.

But you could also argue they aren't. Joshua has lost, Fury has been retired with drug use, Whyte has been inactive with drug use. Ruiz would be called fat.

It's the same old story isn't it.

Whoever anyone beats, haters will hate.

Hrgovic would be dismissed as unproven. Usyk would be dismissed as too small.

Imo Usyk beats him and is the only one who does tbh.

But Fury and Ortiz are clearly his best two opponents.

No one following boxing would think Hrgovic is bad title pick by Wilder. He's shown more and is in better shape than ANY Wilder opponent except for Fury.

Agree Fury and Ortiz, being Wilder's best opponents, both of whom were ahead on scorecards .Wilder can't box. He can only hit hard with one had, and I suspect his chinny once tested and won't be able to take a good body shot either.

Of course he can't box, but he's made a successful career out of windmills and more recently out of a straight right.

Hrgovic would be slated as a title defence.

Wilder could not deal with Hrgovic's jab, and his right or hook would floor him and spell the end of the night shortly after it landed.. A wind up Windmill is hard to land vs. anyone who sees it coming. And those who Wilder lands that punch on are old and slow.

85% sure, Hrgovic via TKO inside 8.

Hrgovic has a rock for a chin. One shot is not taking him out. Wlad, prepping for Joshua sparred with Hrgovic who was then an amateur. Wlad never spoke up about how the session went,. The the word I heard is Hrgovic held his own and took his punches just fine.

Wilder was close to being stopped vs Ortiz past his prime.

The plan for Wilder is clear. Build up his record with fairly safe fights inside PBC, while ducking his mandatory, Whyte. Safe fights preserve the money fights against Fury, and the Joshua/Ruiz winner. I'm pretty sure that Wilder will be hidden from Usyk as well.

As well as the power Wilder has the speed and the confidence. Plus his power carries late which shows he has the conditioning.

Hrgovic might well be the man to end his WBC reign.

But if Wilder picked him to fight next it would be derided as a cherry pick and rightly so. His only victories of note are Mansour and Kevin Johnson, that's it.

    What are you talking about?
Charlie Z took Wilder shots and you think he can kill Hrzegovic?

Wilder not only has insane power, but great timing and hand speed. His boxing skills, as we all know are pretty rudimentary, but with his length, timing and power it doesn’t matter. Instead of being bitter, angry and jealous (which is a terrible look for a grown man) how bout just sit back and enjoy him for what he is...a pure KO puncher. And yes, if he lands the right hand your staring at the lights no matter who you are. Period. Outside of the hilarious Wilder haters, everyone in boxing knows his power is very, very special. It is so hard to go in looking for a KO and then actually getting it, every time. The ability to consistently land right hand bombs is about timing, speed and power. For me, that is fun to watch because it is extremely rare. Regardless of how ugly he looks fundamentally at times.

Except the 1st Fury fight did 325k buys, so is it really a big money fight? And Wilder always says how Fury is not known in the US, so looks like him and Fury will have about 10 rematches to make good money.

No one says he cannot hit. He can. The problem is this. He fought one live body and was lucky to get that draw. Many puncher's put away old men with ease and are not behind on the cards when they do it.

It's his choice of opponents that suck. And there is a reason for that. If he was blowing them away not losing a round, I'd think more of him, but that is not happening and he is picking way too many soft touches.

Wilder's brand of boxing won't work vs some his size who can box and hit. I'd hold off saying anyone he hits he's going to KO, because he has not put anyone durable away. He's not Mike Tyson, and that's what they used to say about him.

I don't think usyks cruiserweight chin will be able to take Wilder's power. I don't trust fury's eye to hold up in the rematch. I am not sure if Joshua is mentally all there after his chin and confidence has been wrecked in sparring and by Ruiz. Ruiz might be too short and as shown by Joshua is vulnerable to big shots. If fury could give the eye enough time to properly heal I give him the best chance.
