    yeah, i said it. ;)

gold metalist, undefeated, super six winner, technically brilliant, humble man but not a pushover, he takes on all comers, doesnt drain anyone. we are watching a living legend of our era right in front of our eyes. hes currently pursuing a fight with dawson(UD) and afterwards will fight Bute(TKO). those next 2 fights alone does alot for the guy. everything else from that point on will add to his alread HOF legacey.

he deserves every bit of fame/money that comes his way.

    WARD!!

Sorry but ducking Dirrell and beating Kessler doesn't do anything for your GOATness.

Ward will go down as a highly ranked ATG and one of the best to lace them up. the guy hasnt even reached his prime yet FFS

I've no doubt Ward has the potential to go down as a truly great fighter, but potential alone does not make a Hall of Fame great.

Saying he will be better than guys who are already comfortably established somewhat in their (yet incomplete still) career legacies is, at best, extremely premature.

Let's see if Ward can remain healthy and keep doing his thing before we anoint him as the next coming of Ray Robinson.

I too see a great future ahead for Ward.

And I have been saying that for quite some time.

But anything can happen in professional sports, and staying healthy is imperative if he were to even come close to approaching the lofty expectations you have placed upon him.

Don't get me wrong! Ward MAYBE some day could be all you said and more. He's talented, and more importantly he has a tremendous ring IQ and a great work ethic.

But Pacquiao and Mayweather have both already passed the test of time. They can lose their next couple of fights, and each is already firmly secured legacy-wise. In fact, the simple magnitude of their star power alone cements that. And that's another aspect to consider. Ward may some day obtain mega star status. But many would argue it's far more likely he is an exceptional talent who never breaks the mainstream threshold, like a B-Hops.

Ward has an awful lot of proving to do before he can realistically ever approch the level of a Pacquiao or a Mayweather.

agree with all u said. good call on the Kessler fight btw.

i too am not sure if he can become a megastar because the casuals might view him as "boring". Bhop is a pretty darn big star. everyone i know pretty much knows who he is, and hes beat alot of legends. but at least he has trash talk to keep your attention. not sure if i can say the same for Ward. lets just hope he takes care of himself and handles his business without becoming a diva in the future. stay humble and hungry.

    but only time will tell.

    until then, WARD!!!

I am very interested in seeing Ward's career unfold, and if he does fight Chad Dawson next I'm curious to see if he can have the type of performance I believe he can have.

Nazim Richardson is one of those guys who seems to truly believe that Ward has that "something special" where he might not lose for a long time if he can remain healthy. Right now, I would favor him to beat anyone south of cruiserweight. I do think Dawson would give him the toughest test though, so that makes this inherently intriguing to me.

    Thank you!

Ward is a solid #4-6. Not in the echelon of Mayweather, Pacquiao, or Marquez. I have him #5, also behind Donaire.

yeah, i think Dawson will bring out the best in Ward and cause some problems with height/size and speed but ultimately fold later in the fight when Ward adjusts. theyre complete opposites mentally IMO. i can see Dawson getting manhandled on the ropes

i realy hope this fight goes down. if Ward pass that test, id say bute is easy work.
